After getting that text from Carson, Brooke quickly ran to the bathroom and wiped her tears that still remained on her cheeks from earlier when she had ended her decade-long friendship with her best friend.

She looked down at her clothes and decided she didn't want to be wearing a Spongebob Square Pants tank top and plaid pyjama bottoms during her first time video chatting with Carson.

She shuffled back to her bedroom and looked through her closet for something better to wear. She picked out her usual ripped skinny jeans, blue and white crew neck, then set out her laptop on her bed

Brooke's phone buzzed from its place on her bed by her pillow and she immediately rushed to see who it was, hoping Carson hadn't backed out of wanting to video chat.

Carson : you have Skype right?

Brooke : yes

Carson : what's your name? I'm lueders22

Brooke : brookeiscool

Carson : seriously?

Brooke : don't judge

She jumped up on her bed, quickly typing in her password and opening Skype. She saw a notification pop up on the side of her screen, letter her know that she had been added to someone's contacts.

lueders22 : you good?

lueders22 : can I call you now?

brookeiscool : Yeah, I'm ready

lueders22 : okay :)

Brooke took a deep breath, straightening her hair one last time.

lueders22 is calling...

Brooke quickly clicked the green button to accept the call and Carson's face came into view. His hair was flat against his forehead, and his fringe being a bit longer that it was usually.

"Hello," his smooth voice was music to Brooke's ears "it's me."

"I swear I'll hang up," Brooke threatened jokingly, putting an end to Carson plans of singing the rest of Adele's Hello.

"It's nice to see you too," Carson rolled his eyes with a smile on his face. "I almost forgot how beautiful you are."

"Carson," Brooke turned her face away, so he couldn't see her reddening cheeks. "You're making me blush."

"Aw, the fact that I can do that through video chat is adorable." He commented

"You make me blush through theft all the time," Brooke confessed, facing her laptops webcam again. "It's quite annoying."

"You love it," Carson placed his device against something, so he could lean back.

"Are you on your phone?" Brooke asked and tilted her head.

"Yeah, I left my laptop at Greg's," he replied, "I'm too lazy to make a trip to his house and get it."

"Where are you?" Brooke chuckled, trying to look at things behind Carson.
