Haruhi blinked at y/n's reaction and turned to Tamaki. He was still covered in potato salad and held the candelabra like a sword.

"I'm off to my room," Kyoya stood up and walked out.

"Well, that happened," the twins chorused, getting out from under the table. Mori's head popped up from the other side of the table and Hunny climbed up Mori, sitting on his shoulders.

"Geez, Tamaki, be more sensitive," Hunny pouted.

"wHAT DO YOU MEAN? SHE WAS ABOUT TO BLIND ME!"

"Wait, so you didn't know?" Hunny asked, tilting his head to the side. Haruhi raised an eyebrow.

"Didn't know what, Hunny-Senpai?" She questioned.

"Y/n has PTSD and Pyrophobia," Mori spoke in his monotone voice.

Tamaki froze and turned to Mori and Hunny.

"WHAT?" He asked, panicking and waving the candelabra about, "DADDY DIDN'T MEAN TO HURT HIS LITTLE PRINCESS I TAKE IT ALL BACK! I WISH SHE TOLD HER DEAR FATHER ABOUT THIS-"

"Shut up for a minute, Tamaki," Haruhi glared. Tamaki immediately put his candelabra on the table and composed himself. He tilted his head back and potato with mayonnaise dropped off his head and splatted on the floor.

"Of course, Second Daughter," He sparkled.

"Huh, explains why she left me to light the candles," Kaoru put together.

"And asked me to stoke the fire for her," Hikaru added. Hunny and Mori nodded.

"It was because of a huge accident that happened ages ago," Hunny explained. "Something along the lines of her friend dying in a house fire,"

"Oh my god," Hikaru's eyes widened. "That's awful," Kaoru nodded, agreeing.

"Y/n was badly burned to save the corpse, she had night terrors for around 3-4 weeks," Mori added. Tamaki looked at the burning candelabra and blew it out.

"Kyoya must have known about this," Tamaki folded his arms, annoyed at the dark-haired man.

"Still, you should check up on her, Tamaki-Senpai," Haruhi spoke up, pointing at the door. Tamaki nodded and left the room.

"Place your bets here, will Tamaki get into her room or nah?" The twins said, placing down a betting chalkboard with a money box.

"I think he'll get in," Haruhi states.

"Same," Hunny agreed.

"So odds in favor of Tamaki getting into the room brings the prize up to *1,000,000 yen."

*1,000,000 yen = £6859/$8950.15

Tamaki's POV

"Y/n... lemme in!" I said, knocking on the door. There was a muffled sob in reply, I bit my lip in frustration, banging on the door once more. "rIGHT!" I yelled, grabbing the pot plant and tipping the soil and fern out. Kyoya is gonna kill me but oh well.

I smashed the pot against the door and the door simply swung open. I stayed there still for a second.

"oh..." I mumbled sheepishly, putting the pot back down, "Well... I ASSUMED it was locked, uh..."

I quickly snapped out of it and dashed inside. I called Y/n's name, I heard a shower on and sobbing coming from the bathroom.

As I surveyed the area around before me, it looked like she was in a big hurry to get to the bathroom. A vase was smashed, the contents spilling out across the floor. A curtain was torn and the mirror was on the floor. I stepped over the glass and followed the sounds of sobbing.

I knocked gently on the bathroom door and the sobbing quietened a little. I opened the door gently and y/n was sitting there in the shower with her clothes on and the water running.

"T-Tamaki," she cried. I swallowed a lump in my throat and walked towards her. I turned off the shower and sat next to her. She was shivering from the water and I gently pulled her into my chest. She quietened, sniffing. We stayed there for a while, listening to the crickets outside the window.

"I-it's like I can still see her in the fire," She finally mumbled. I looked down at her, "I can't help but think it was my fault," I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

"none of it was your fault, you were a child. Children can do silly things," I consoled. Y/n looked at her lap.

"But, just... why me? I've done nothing wrong, I did nothing to deserve what life did to me," She teared up. "I donated money to charities, cut my hair to give it to other boys and girls who didn't have any, I once entertained children in the cancer ward, what have I done wrong??" Y/n ranted angrily, I could only sit there and listen.

"Life is unfair, with the good, comes the bad. There must be a balance." I explained. Y/n looked up at me.

"But look at you! Rich, going to a great school, handsome, everybody looks up to you, you're nice, you have everything!" She fought back and I chuckled.

"You don't know half the things I have been through," I sighed, "But you know what really is frustrating?"

Oh no no no no, snap out of it, brain, fIGHT.

"The most frustrating thing is loving someone but you don't know if they love you back!" I suddenly ranted. Y/n looked taken aback and stared at me. I felt a blush creep up my neck but I ignored it, "She's amazing in every way, ugh it's so irritating the way she walks the way she talks the way she does that little pout when she's upset! It drives me insane!"

Y/n makes that cute little pout and I screamed, irritated.

"THERE IT IS!" I frustratedly pointed at y/n. Who suddenly went red.

"Tamaki, I could give you advice if you w-wanted, but first I need to know w-who it is," Y/n stammered.

"You wanna know? FINE! IT- IT'S YOU DAMMIT!" I finally yelled. I froze and placed a hand over my mouth.

well shit Tamaki, now you've done it.

"T-Tamaki...?"
