Chapter 3: bestfriend

"jennie!" chaeyoung called out and walk over towards jennie and jungkook.

Jennie and jungkook which was sitting side by side both look up towards the direction of the voice, people that don't know them might think that they are an item.

"you are coming to my birthday party right?" chaeyoung whispered, remembering that she is at the library.

Jennie nodded "but I can't stay late" she adds on.

"finally! After weeks of pestering, my efforts were acknowledged" chaeyoung wipe her imaginary tears.

Jennie laughed.

"see you there" chaeyoung stand up and smile to jennie and jungkook before leaving.

Jungkook even waves goodbye to her.

"your friend is pretty" jungkook said out bluntly.

Jennie looks at him for a second and went back to highlight that section that she thinks is important in her textbook.

After chaeyoung birthday party, she was absent the following day.

"anyone know why is chaeyoung absent today?" the teacher asked across the class.

"jennie, please check out on her and let me know later." the teacher continued.

"yes" jennie replied softly.

Jennie took out her phone from her pocket and texted chaeyoung"are you sick? Why didn't you come to school today?"  After texting her, she slides her phone under the desk. Her phone vibrated after a few seconds, "no, can you call me when you are alone?" 

Afraid that something bad had happened to her, jennie walks out of the class and give chaeyoung a call straight.

"are you okay?" was the first thing jennie said when the call first went through.

"I am scared... jennie" chaeyoung voice was shaky.

"don't be scared, what happened? Tell me" jennie trying her best to comfort her.

"no no , my mum is going to kill me if she knows that" chaeyoung started crying.

"just say, else I can't help you" jennie scratch her hair out of frustration.

"I slept with jungkook" was her reply.

Both of them silence for a minute, jennie is trying to digest the message her bestfriend just told her. Jennie knew Chaeyoung wasn't those type of girls and she can assure that jungkook is the one that hit up on her perhaps after that time they met in the library.

"jennie?" chaeyoung called out as she wasn't giving any reply.

"yeah sorry, have you spoke with him?" jennie shakes her head profusely to get rid of those assumptions in her head.

"ya... but he says he wasn't ready to get into a relationship"jennie held onto her phone even tighter.

"jungkook being jungkook. Don't worry, I will make sure he does something about it" jennie sighed.

"thanks jennie" chaeyoung said in between her sobs.

Jennie went around the school finding jungkook.

"you see jungkook?" she asked one of her classmate she saw on the corridor.

He pointed at the guy toilet at the corner.

Jennie stood outside for a while, thinking if she should knock the door or wait outside for him.

"was she good?" a voice was heard from the other side.

"for first timer, I guess so?" jungkook said with a teasing tone.

They all laughed.

Jennie pushed open the door, revealing a bunch of guys including jungkook turning over with a shocked expression on their face and cigarette on their hand. Jungkook coughed awkwardly, hop down from the basin and flush the cigarette down.

"you got to calm down your hormones, this is a male toilet" jungkook stopped right in front of her and a smirk was seen in his face.

Jennie grit her teeth, one hand gripping onto his collar, another hand trembling as she uses all her strength to clench it into a fist.

The bunch of boys hop down wanting to help him but eventually stop when they saw him raising his hand high up, asking them not to move.

"your hand is trembling, do you need me to teach you how to punch?" jungkook said in a teasing tone, gaining laughter from the bunch of boys.

Both of her hands were trembling profusely due to anger and the overuse of strength.

Knowing that she will get into trouble if the teacher found out that she was in the male toilet, she drops her grip on him. Just when she was about to turn and walk off, jungkook held her wrist high up, near his face.

"your friend is good and I wonder if you will be as good as her" a smirk appeared once again on his face while his eyes glance up and down of her body.

Jennie uses her free hand to grab onto jungkook's hand and give him a hard bite before running off.

"AHHH" jungkook shouted and hold tightly onto the spot that was now red with a teeth mark on it.

He laughed after seeing her running away and muttered "cute" under his breath.
