I was following my mom around, holding her hand and waddling behind her.

She always claimed i was bright for a 5 year old, and i took her compliments to heart.

She was currently shopping in wal-mart when she said i could retrieve some candy if i wished.

(A/n If a friend is with me and i buy candy, i get something we both like to share. If there are many people i get different types.)

I grabbed a bag of candy she liked so we could share, and was about to return to her when i heard crying.

I walked over, and on the ground sat a boy my age, blue hair and eyes with pale skin, crying.

I walked up to him.

"Whats wrong?" I asked, and he looked up at me.

"I lost my mom and dad, and cant find them." He sniffled.

"I'll take you to my mommy, she can help cuz shes a grown up." I said, extending a hand.

He grasped it, pulling himself up and i led him to my mom, talking to eachother the entire way.

I had learned his name, and that he has a kitty named gizmo. I told him about my cat (cat name or from now on c/n).

Soon i returned to my mom, who glanced at me leading sal along.

"Whos this y/n?" She asked, taking the candy and placing it in the cart. She then kneeled to our height.

"This is sal fisher, my new friend." I smiled, and he grinned at the word friend.

"Well sal, where are your parents?" My mom asked him.

"I dont know missus, i lost them." He murmurs, gripping my hand tightly.

"Oh you poor dear, well i guess we will have to bring you to the front desk and find them." Mom smiles, sal and i following her, still holding hands.

We got there, and two people who looked like sals parents were there talking to staff.

My mom tapped their shoulders, and they turned to see their son, who released my hand to run to them.

Me and my mom were about to leave, when she stopped and looked at sals parents who began talking to her.

Sal walked back over, hugging me.

"Thanks for helping me find my mommy and daddy." He said, and i hugged him back.

"Its fine. I know how scary it is to lose your parents in a store." I smiled, and heard laughing from the adults.

We let go, sal clutching my hand again to see all of our parents laughing.

"Looks like youve made a little friend, huh sal?" His mom grinned, and the other two smiling.

"Yeah, this is y/n." He announced to his parents.

Soon enough our parents exchanged numbers, and we were planned to have a playdate this weekend.

We hugged.

"See you this weekend sal." I smiled, and he smiled back.

"See you then y/n." He said, and we both separated to follow our parents.
