Welcome to the afterlife...
Her body shook in the wind. The cold air blew her hair across her face. On any normal occasion she would have brushed it off her face but she just laid still. Her lifeless body was surrounded by dead leaves and branches. He couldn't help but smile at her. His first kill. His beautiful girlfriend didn't know what was coming when he brought her to the woods. She just stood there looking in his eyes when he plugged the dagger into her stomach. Her eyes growing wide just like his sadistic smile. He bent down and gave her cold lips one last kiss before he walked out of the woods. Little did he know this wouldn't be the last time he saw her.

Three weeks later the news was filled with Dani Passlees' name and picture. Her golden brown hair was in spiral curls that feel over her shoulders. Her face was full of life and her eyes shone in the light. The red text across the page read "Missing girl found dead in the woods off Girt road." He smiled, his pray had finally been found. Now the real fun will begin. The police with ask him questions, they will search through Dani's belongings and they will find the piece of evidence he planted. The note he forced her ex to write. The note that tells her to meet him in the woods. The note that will lead the police to the wrong man.
He turned the television off and made his way to the kitchen. As he passed the fridge he noticed a small drop of blood running down the door. He walked over and opened the fridge but nothing in it was bleeding. He closed the door and examined the blood. In the faint reflection he could see that the blood was also on the walls behind him. He turned around and saw a horrible sight. Across the wall was writing in blood and a dead rabbit pinned it. He read the nasty message and a pit formed in his stomach.
"I know what you did.."
He ran to the phone and dialed 9-1-1. The operator picked up. "911 what is your emergency?"
He yelled out, "someone has been in my house and they left a disturbing message written in blood. Please send an officer over here now!" He proceed to tell her his name and address. Minutes later there was a knock at the door.
The police search the house and turn up the planted note. Besides that they find no evidence of break in. In fact they don't even find the blood note.
"Sir, we know it's been a hard couple weeks for you, with the death of your girlfriend, so we suggest you get some rest and try to clear your mind. We have grief counseling from eight to six on the weekdays if you want to talk to someone. We will leave an officer here if you would feel safer." The officer gave him a sympathetic look.
He fumed with anger. How could the cops be acting like he is in grief. He killed Dani. He threatened her ex to right the note. He was not in grief and he did not imagine what had just happened. He told the officers to leave and he walked back to the kitchen. Much to his surprise the wall was clean, not one trace of blood was to be seen. He grabbed a plate off the counter and threw it. The plate shattered against the wall. He couldn't wrap his mind around this strange phenomenon.
As the week passed more strange messages were left for him. Each one written in blood. He soon became accustomed to the metallic smell. The police would check on him once a day to make sure he was okay. He couldn't stand it anymore. After the police left that day he walked over to his computer. After an hour of typing his confession he took one last look in the mirror. Looking back at him was her beautiful face. Dani smiled a wicked grin and pointed to the gun behind him. He turned his head and walked over to the bed.
"I am sorry Dani. I did love you," He whispered. He took the gun in his hands and in one quick movement the lights went out.
"Welcome to the afterlife!" The voice echoed in his head. He opened his eyes and saw the red flames surrounding him. The chains on his wrists burned into his skin. He looked into her eyes and accepted his fate. After all he did deserve what she was doing to him. That's what you get when you kill an angel.
