Guardian Angel
Kall has never had a perfect life. She has been in and out of the hospital and she has felt so much loss. She has given up on having a good life. She accepted that she is cursed.
It really hurt Raziel that she has given up. She still had such a bright future ahead of her. He watched her lose hope day by day and it broke him. He had to do something to bring her back to her hopeful self. He had to meet her and speak to her. Show her that there is so much more to life. He had to break the biggest rule they had. He had to go to earth. He had to fall.

Kall walked to school in the pouring rain on Monday morning. She didn't bother pulling the hood over her head. The doctors told her she had to do anything and everything she could to keep from getting sick again, but she was kall and she never listened. Her mind was filled with thoughts of death and darkness. She wondered if her mother was still around. She always thought she could feel her presence but lately it's been cold. She was too deep in thought that she didn't notice the car coming towards her. She heard a loud honk and braced for impact. The push she felt was not wat she expected. It was soft and it was warm. She opened her eyes and saw the most beautiful face she has ever seen. He was looking down at her with so much concern.
"You really have to be more careful!" He shouted. His whole body shook with anger.
"Gosh, I'm sorry, but you didn't have to save me!" Kall said back. She didn't understand why he was so upset.
"Yes I did! I am always trying to save you Kallie!" He continued to yell.
"Dude lower your voice. What do you mean when you say you are always trying to save me?"
Raziel calmed down. He held his hand out to Kall. She took it and he pulled her up. "Look, this isn't the place for this conversation. We can talk about this when you are finished with school." With that last word he ran off.
Kall didn't know what had just happened but for some reason he made her feel safe.
The day dragged on and Kall desperately waited for the last bell to ring. Today was a strange day. Unlike every other day she felt lucky. She didn't trip in the cafeteria. She passed all her quizzes. Even Kaitlin Read talked to her. Despite the day going fairly well she couldn't help but think of the mystery guy that saved her that morning. When the bell finally rang she bolted out of the doors and saw the stranger waiting for her.
"Ok stalker, school is over. Explain."
"Kall, I never wanted to meet you like this. I just couldn't bear seeing you loose faith in yourself. You are such an amazing person and you have a great life planned for you." Raziel spoke lowering his head.
"What the heck do you mean? How do you know I have a great life planned for me?"
"Kall..."
"No! I don't even know you! How do you know my name? Who are you?"
"Kall," he grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes, "Look, this isn't easy for me. My name is Raziel and I'm your guardian angel. I have been watching you ever sense you were born and I have done everything I could to keep you safe. I was given orders not to interfere to much because the pain you were going through was going to make you into the person you were meant to be. It broke me when you stopped believing in your life, you even lost faith in your mother. I broke the rules and I fell. I needed to make you see how important you are." His eyes filled with tears. Kall reached up to his cheek and wiped the tears away. "I am in so much trouble now. I have broken so many rules but I don't care. I don't care. As long as I can be with you I will be fine."
She reached for his neck and pulled him into a tight hug. "This explains everything that happened for me today. My luck has turned around. You did all this for me? Why?"
"Because after all these years of watching you, I fell in love with you." His face flushed but tears continued to roll down his cheeks. "Angels are not allowed to love their humans, and I do."
"Oh," she smiled and the air around her began to feel warm. She felt like she did before she lost hope.
The next week Raziel made sure that Kall never gave up hope again. It worked. She began to feel confident and happy. Her life and energy made his love for her grow, but they were never meant to meet. Raziel knew his time was coming to an end. He knew that he was full of sin and nothing could save him now. Angels can never fall in love with their humans.
