I feel pathetic looking back on my college journal. I remember feeling hope whenever a new lad came into my life. Hope has dissolved.
"I shouldn't be dwelling on the past! It gets you nowhere and it makes you feel bad. It's not logical." I say aloud. That was a huge mistake.
"I prefer to call it reflecting, Professor." Emma barges in with Mikey at her side (you would know why if you read Hot Cocoa Beans. Excuse me while I plug my book.). "Dwelling has such a negative vibe surrounding it. The word reflection means to look back and see how you can progress and move forward." Emma adds.
"And you can also laugh back at good memories." Mikey adds in a sarcastic tone but Emma slaps him in the stomach so he can't say anything else. He gets the message.
"Kids, you wouldn't understand what happened. You aren't psychiatrists ." I reply back. Mikey raises his hand in objection.
"One of my minors is psychology." Mikey says. This only gets him another slap in the stomach. I hold back a laugh.
"You really wanna know? Fine. Photocopy the journal and put it back on my desk. Your new homework is to read this and write something about how you could help me. That's only if you are smart enough." I reply, handing them the journal. They do as said and I rest. But before that I read the next two entries...
