...Strange.
Whatever timeline this was, it was unlike anything Gaster had ever seen.
Humans and monsters, brought to the same place with once-shattered souls now intact, like nothing was wrong.
And then, a screen showing what seemed to be their future...Gaster was fascinated at the thought. Something beyond their control had brought them all to that place, but hadn't explained why - in truth, he had no idea what had caused it, either.
He was always left to watch, but nobody could see him. Only a few still remembered the former Royal Scientist, though some talked of a man who could speak in hands.
There were still fragments, scattered across all of time and space but out of anyone's reach.
...sometimes he wondered how Sans and Papyrus were doing without him. Through all these pieces he could still sense them...but never have the chance to talk to them again. After all, he was an anomaly. He would never get out of this place-
Something passes through him like a tidal wave - sending shivers down his spine. What's happening?
He doesn't know. He doesn't know...but he can feel it in every piece scattered across every timeline.
The fragments are being pulled towards each other - what on earth could be causing that? He fees more while by the second, and he hears something crack.
...it's light. Light, breaking through all the darkness like a beacon of sorts.
But it seems to be getting stronger by the second...and before he knows it, he's sprinting as far away from it as possible. He needs to hide, needs to get away - but it only pulls him back in response, Gaster hanging onto what little reality he has left.
His grip is getting weaker - and his eyes glow, one red and one blue.
One last time, he tears himself away from the void and faces whatever force just won't give up, and he screams as the brightness gets overwhelming, getting pulled though it and into the very place he had just begun watching from the shadows.
