Liam POV

"Chris, you were angry when your kid went missing. Your team says you haven't been yourself since"

"Would you say your anger sometimes leads to killing?"

"No."

"Tuckers Body was found in his jail sell. He was shot in the head with a silent gun. Camera's show nothing and no one reported his body or did an autopsy. Someone hid all the evidence. My guess is you. You've done something like this before, haven't you?"

               Wednesday, October 24th 2018-12:37pm- Nicholas (The present-NOW)

Laim POV

"Why did you investigate someone who had Alzheimer and dementia? Isn't is obvious he wouldn't have any memory of what happened. Old folks like him get taken advantage of and in most cases abused. Are you aware of that?"

-Silence-

"Was Tucker the only person you investigated? It shows on your surveillance camera's that Tucker was actually last seen by you before he was murdered in his cell. Guards claim you were yelling at him. It seemed as if you were about to attack because he said something to you. Is it because he knew who the killer was?

-Silence-

Dillion POV

"Morning Addy, Morning Dillion, you guys are here awfully early", Ryan says.

"And you're oddly jolly today Ryan," I said.

"My wedding plans are finalized. Everything is ready. I hope to see you all In October," he says passing around invitations.

Chris walks in with no uniform. We could tell he hasn't slept.

Since the incident last month he's changed. Chris sits on his chair leaning Back looking at the ceiling. He doesn't acknowledge anyone.

Ryan slowly puts an invitation under his laptop as he smiles. Chris looked at him. And for the first time ever, he didn't make a snarky remark. Nor did he get mad. I felt for Chris.

Nick walks in looking at Ryan.
"No, I'm not coming." He says before he opened his mouth.

Addy laughed and Chris smiled. I began to realize how much I missed this. How much I missed how things use to be in the office.

Nick looks at me upset.
Robert comes in minutes after Nick, looking at each of us in the room.

Ryan sit down at his desk, everyone's mood begins to shift. His brain finally caught on that it wasn't the time for happily ever afters.

Everyone was stressed.
"Dillon can I speak to you for a moment?" Nick asked.
"Of course, what's wrong?" I asked

"In private." He says.
We walked into the investigation room as he locked the door. I was nervous.

He takes a deep breath.

"Why?" He asked.

"Why did you do it?"

"What?" I questioned.

"You know what I'm talking about?"

I looked at him confused.

"Why didn't you tell me?"
'Tell you what?" I asked.

"That you had cancer. Your wife told me last night. We use to be close. You don't tell me anything no more." He said.

This was the first time I seen Nick this concerned.

"Look..." I paused. "Its no ones business."

He looked at me strange. "I didn't want anyone to know."

"You haven't been sleeping. Your wife says you haven't been to the doctor's in months. But yet you get a call saying you have cancer?"

-The phone rings-

"It's the old folks home." I told him. His eyes widen.

"Hello?"

"Is This Dillion Traviswood, son of Peter-Pipe Traviswood?"

"Yes, him speaking."

" I must inform you that your father has past away. He was murdered."

Nick watched as my facial expression changes.

"I'm coming."

"What is it?" He asked.
"My father Nick, he was murdered."

Nick's face lights up like a Christmas tree stunned.

We both run out of the room getting our stuff to head out the door.

Chris turns his chair around curious of what's happening and so does Ryan.

"Where are you going?" Addy asked.

"Its my father, he's been murdered"

Ryan gets off his seat. "I'm coming with you!" He says.

Chris turns his chair around, as his back faces everyone, more worried than ever. He was in deep thought.

"I'm staying. I'll wait for the body to do an autopsy," Addy says. I could tell Addy was worried that her family might be next.

"Same here." Chris says biting his nails.

I could tell at any second, Chris was gonna lose his shit. I knew hearing this news made him worry about his son now that the killer is after everyone's loved ones. The thoughts of his son possibly already dead, started fluttering in his mind once more as he taps the desk with his uncut nails.

"I'll be right behind you." Robert says.

LIAM POV

"On March 3rd you and Addy were the first two to clock in that morning. You two are normally clocked in after everyone else. What was special about that morning?"

"Nothing, early bird gets the worm".
