Yoongi POV

"She seems like a very sweet girl, Yoongi. I'm glad you've found someone good for you." Eomma says softly, being able to hear just how weak she is as she speaks. I bite my lip, holding her hand gently at her side as I force a small smile.

"She's a wonderful person, Eomma. I'm sorry for bringing her here so suddenly. I'd been with her when Appa called though, and I couldn't just run off away from her. Besides, I thought it'd be nice for the two of you to meet." I explain shyly, teaching up to wipe away the tears that are still trickling down my cheeks.

"Well she's a beautiful young woman. I really do hope that you're treating her well, sweetheart. I've seen those other girls you found back in Daegu, and I certainly think she's the one for you. She's respectful and kind from what I can see, and it's clear that she cares about you as much as you seem to care for her." Eomma murmurs tiredly before coughing. My heartbeat begins racing in fear, seeing just how much it pains her.

It takes a good minute or so before her coughing fit finally begins to calm down, and just seconds later Jae walks back in. Turning my head to look over at her, I can feel my lips trembling as I spot her, trying not to crush my mother's hand in mine from how scared I am. The beautiful small smile that had been on her lips disappears instantly as she rushes to my side. Instantly, I'm wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her close as soon as she's within arms reach, nuzzling my head into the crook of her neck as I try to hold back tears and choking back sobs.

Though, I'm caught off guard when I hear the door open once again, causing me to lift my head up and rest my chin on her shoulder. Looking over in the direction of the door as Jae wraps her arms gently around my waist as well, I spot the doctor stood there in the doorway.

"I'm afraid I need everyone in the room to leave right now. There's a few things that we'd like to take a look at and a few tests that we need to run on Mrs. Min here." He informs us in a gentle tone.

My heart sinks in my chest at this, fear engulfing me even more as I subconsciously tighten my grip around Jaekyung.

"It's gonna be okay, Yoongi. Come on, let's give the doctor some time with your mom." Jae murmurs softly in my ear before kissing my cheek.

"But they never take her out for tests or check things at this time. School would be letting out by now, they're usually done with that type of thing at this point." I mumble, wincing as I hear my voice crack. Jae pulls away from me a bit gently, giving me a tiny smile.

"Maybe something came up and they couldn't take care of it earlier. They know what they're doing, baby." She whispers softly, reaching up and brushing my hair out of my eyes.

Huffing quietly, I reluctantly nod and let go of her with one arm, keeping the other around her waist as we exit the room past the doctor with my father in tow. Silently, I lead us to the waiting room, hating the feeling of being here. It scares the hell out of me, and it drives me insane with not being able to know what's going on right now.

"Yoongi, why don't you go get some fresh air with your girlfriend, yeah? The hospital is no place for the two of you to be spending all your time at." Appa says gently as he sits down beside me. I bite my lip, glancing down at the floor for a moment before nodding. However, before we can do anything, the doctor returns in the waiting room and makes his way over to us.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but Mrs. Min would like to this young lady for a moment by herself. She didn't state why though." The doctor informs us with a small smile. Jae glances over at me with a worried look before nodding her head and standing.

"I'll be right back and then we can go. Okay?" Jae tells me with a tiny smile. Taking a deep breath, I simply nod once more before she's walking off with the doctor leading the two of them.

Despite the agonizing wait on her to return, I'm beyond grateful when I spot her walking back through the doorway. I don't even bother waiting for her to reach us, standing up and going over to her instead.

"Ready?" I ask as I take her hand in mine, lacing our fingers together instantly. She gives me a small gentle smile, nodding her head.

"We can go now."
