They all climbed out of the taxi, and onto the sidewalk in front of Stark Tower. Harry lugged her trunk out of the boot, and onto the sidewalk along with the rest of her family. When the taxi drove off Vernon yelled at Harry to follow them, she was busy staring at the building, it has to be one of the tallest in the city. Quickly Harry gathered her things, and rushed inside to follow them. Harry followed closely behind Uncle Vernon while in the building, for there are a lot of people here. Uncle Vernon went straight up to the front desk, where a young woman sits.
"How may I help you sir?" she asks.
"I'd like to see Tony Stark, I've got something that belongs to him."
"I'm sorry but you'll have to schedule an appointment with his personal assistant, You'll have to call her."
Uncle Vernon should have known he couldn't just waltz right in here and demand to see Tony Stark, it's crazy. Silently Harry placed her trunk on the ground and sat on top of it. She placed Hedwig's cage next to her, trying to ignore everyone around her. Everyone around her is looking at her and her family, one reason is that there's a young girl with an owl and a trunk, and two is that there's a fat man wanting to see Tony Stark.
"I have called her, but I haven't gotten through. Please I must see them, I have something of his," Vernon replies.
"What is it that supposedly belongs her Mr. Stark?" she asks folding her hands.
Uncle Vernon turns so that Harry is in view of the young woman, "I have his daughter."
"I'm sorry but Tony Stark does not have a daughter."
"Yes he does. I read all about it in my sisters journal, she says it quite clearly, she just never told him," Aunt Petunia says butting in.
The young woman rolls her eyes and picks up the phone, "Let me see what I can do."
She turns away from the Dursleys and starts to talk into her phone. At this point Harry was starting to become very uncomfortable, I mean she's getting stared at more than usual, her uncle is claiming her to be Tony Stark's daughter, and she's starving. Dudley is also getting on her nerves for he's getting very pissy, and is starting to complain more and more. Then when the woman turned back around she smiled at Vernon and she hung up the phone. She sat silently smiling, until she made eye contact with someone behind Harry. Harry saw this and turned around, then she saw it, here comes security. Harry groaned, for she knows that they're going to make a scene. When security got over to them, one of the men went straight up to Vernon.
"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
Vernon's face started to turn purple, "I will NOT!"
He got angry and the men had to grab his arms, "I have Tony Stark's child and I'm here to give her to HIM!" he yelled.
They struggled with the purple face Vernon, a pissy Aunt Petunia, and a crabby Dudley. Harry stayed out of the way, she even moved Hedwig's cage so she wouldn't get hit. People also had stopped to stare at the situation. Not two minutes went by before a strawberry blond woman stepped out of an elevator and came up to the Dursleys.
"My name is Pepper Potts, CEO of Stark Industries, and Tony Stark's personal assistant, what's going on here?" she asks.
"This man is claiming that, that girl is Tony Stark's daughter," one of them said pointing at Harry.
The woman stopped and stared at Harry before turning back to Vernon, "Why would you think that? DO you have any form of proof?"
"Yes, my sisters journal. She wrote about it quite clearly, just just never told him because she was married at the time."
A few things happened next, Harry couldn't hear it for she was blocked by one of the security guys. Apparently they all came to a agreement, Harry would be DNA tested, for they have the equipment to do so. So they started walking to the elevator that Pepper had come out of. Harry again had to pick up her trunk and owl cage by herself. Pepper must have noticed that Harry's family wasn't going to help her, so she asked one of the security guys to. Harry thanked him profusely. When they got into the elevator you could feel the tension building up. On the way up, Harry kept looking around, and each time she would look at Pepper, she would catch her looking right at her. Each time Pepper would look away, but that obviously didn't stop her from looking again.
Then the elevator doors opened, and they opened up to a lab. Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley pushed passed her as she stared at the room in awe, and that's what caused her to start moving again. She picked up her bag and cage, and walked into the room. Pepper said that she could put her bag next to the table, and Hewdig's cage onto the table.
"Ms. Potts, what do I owe the pleasure to?" a man in a lab coat asks.
"Bruce, we need a DNA test done for... what's your name dear?"
"Harriet, but most people call me Harry."
"We need a DNA test done for Harry, test it against Tony's please," Pepper said. "I have to go make a few calls, I'll be back."
Pepper then re-entered the elevator, and the doors closed on her. Harry stood awkwardly as the doctor prepped a few things, she stood awkwardly as her aunt and uncle stared at her with hate. Oh how she wished she could be Dudley, and have the ability to ignore and be oblivious to everything.
"Harry hop up here," said the doctor, patting a stool. "I'm going to prick your finger and take some blood, then I'm going to swab your mouth, ok?"
Harry nods her head as she takes a seat on the stool. First he swabbed her mouth with a q-tip, then he took out the needle. He took her hand into his calloused one, and turned it over so her fingers where facing the ceiling. Gently he pricked her finger, and drew the blood from it. He smiled at her and put a small circle band-aid on it, he then turned to face the computers. Harry looked around at everything, her body buzzed with excitement, she wants to touch everything. She wants to examine everything, she wants to know what everything does. But she stays still, she doesn't move from her spot on the stool. She only moves to pet Hedwig.
After a bit Bruce printed out a few papers, and looked over them a few times. Then he turned around to face the group. Uncle Vernon and his impatient ways had to speak up.
"Well, what are the results?"
"We're going to have to wait for Ms. Potts."
Dudley huffed quite loud at this, causing everyone to look at him. Clearly he's annoyed, and wants to do something fun. I guess they though that it wouldn't take to long, that they could just drop her like a piece of mail. Aunt Petunia knelt down to Dudley's level and started making promises to him about the things he would do and the things he will get after they leave. The doctor looked at them, they're spoiling him. Each time Harry would try and talk to Bruce, Vernon would shoot her a glare, obviously reminding her of their conversation earlier this morning. Bruce did notice this, and wasn't to happy about it.
Then Pepper came back through the elevator doors. She walked over to the group and stopped right in front of them.
"So, what are the results?"
Bruce grabbed the paper from the table, and looked them over one more time.
"I can say with 100% certainty that Harry, is in fact the biological daughter of Tony Stark."
