The summer was coming to an end, and things had started to change for Harry. She didn't get anymore letter from Ron or Hermione, and whenever she tried to Skype Hermione, she wouldn't answer. Harry started feeling sad, why would her friends ignore her. She had gotten used to it at the Dursley's but things changed when she came here to live with her dad, so them ignoring her, it hurt. Harry didn't mention this to anyone though, she just started to prepare for her journey back to Hogwarts.
Tony, and the rest of the Avengers got all the information they needed from her. Whether or not they asked about it, Harry would just start talking and talking. They all could tell that she loves Hogwarts. They heard about her house, her playing Quidditch and being one of the youngest players, along with her classmate, and teachers. They heard more about Hagrid and Dumbledore, and could tell that Harry thought of Hagrid as an uncle. Loki had started to help Harry with her magic whenever she needed it, though he claims that she doesn't need that much help. That made her happy, because Hermione is the one who gets all the spells on the first try, not her or Ron.
So over the few weeks leading up to the school year, Harry was told about a meeting they would all be in with the directer of SHIELD. She was also told that she could not show him her magic, because if she did he wouldn't be to happy.
So the day came when it was time to have that meeting with the director. Since Clint's birthday was also coming up, and Harry wouldn't be able to celebrate it with him, like she had every other avenger, she and Pepper decided to bake a cake for him. So her and Pepper gathered in the kitchen, and made the cake. It was a two layered marble cake, with tons of frosting on top. They made it purple, and formed the little candies into bows and arrows. After they had finished, the two girls noticed that the meeting was still going on, so Pepper went to do some paper work, and Harry went off to her room to wait. But when she got to her room, something strange was going on.
There was some sort of magical creature jumping on her bed.
Harry quickly found out that he is a house elf and that his name is Dobby. Also that he kept punishing himself, because that is what house elves were meant to do. Harry didn't like it one bit, but she also didn't like that he was the cause of Harry not receiving any more letter from her friends. Also he said that she couldn't go back to Hogwarts this year because it was to dangerous. She didn't like any of this. So, she had chased him all around her room, and apparently caused some commotion, for Tony had soon knocked on the door. As fast as she could Harry threw Dobby into the closet and slammed the door closed. Her hands still on the door.
"Come in."
Tony opened the door and looked at his daughter, "Are you alright. We were hearing some strange things coming from here."
The closet door opened slightly, and Harry pushed it closed quickly. She did that two more times before answering. "Oh yes, everything is fine. I'm just having a hard time closing the closet, but I don't need help, I can figure it out all by myself."
Tony looked at her strange;y but decided to believe her anyways, "Ok, you need anything we're in the living room."
"Ok, thanks dad."
Tony closed te door, and as soon as Harry knew that he was gone, and couldn't hear what she was saying, she swung open the closet doors and confronted Dobby. She didn't want anyone to find out he was here, nor did he want the director to know about him either. It sounded bad if she showed her magic, imagine if he found out that there was such things as house elves? So she told him that he had to be quite, but he still didn't listen. Instead he decided that he was going to mess with the meeting. Apparently Dobby thought messing with the meeting would keep her away from Hogwarts. He disappeared from the room, and Harry freaked out.
"Oh, my, god."
She ran out of her room, and towards the meeting. She ran through the kitchen, but stopped short when she realized Clint's cake was gone. It just wasn't on the counter anymore. Her head snapped over to a small sound. That small sound, Dobby. Her eyes widened once she saw what he was doing. He was using magic to levitate the cake. He was levitating the cake over to the only person she didn't know, and the person she believed to be the director.
Harry tried to stop Dobby, but the last thing he said before disappearing, and the cake falling onto the director of SHIELD's head, didn't comfort her one bit.
"Harry Potter must not return to Hogwarts this year."
The cake fell onto the director, and everything went silent. Harry didn't want to be caught and blamed for this, and she was only in the doorway, so she quickly and quietly ran back to her room before she could be blamed. Then once she was in her room she quickly said something to JARVIS.
"JARVIS, if anyone asks, I've been in my room the whole time trying to fix my closet door."
"Of course, Harry."
She sighed, but then her eyes were brought to the stack of letters Dobby had left behind that were meant for her. Curiosity got the better of her, and she walked over to them, picked them up, and sat in a comfortable position on her bed. She undid the string tying them together, and just as she picked up the first letter, that happened to be from Ron, her bedroom door flew open. She jumped and looked at the person who was now standing in her doorway. It was the director and he was still covered in cake, and Tony was behind him.
She looked at the man confused and these words flew out of her mouth before she could stop them, "Is that Clint's cake Pepper and I made?"
None of them answered her question, instead Tony changed the subject. "Harry, did you dump this cake onto Director Fury here?"
Harry scrunched her face in fake confusion, "No. I was fixing my closet door, besides, why would I ruin the cake Pepper and I made for Clint."
Before Tony could reply, Director Fury spoke up. He didn't speak to Harry or Tony, instead he spoke to JARVIS, the one who knows anything and everything that happens here in the tower. "JARVIS, did Harry dump this cake on me?"
"No, director Fury. Harry has been in her room the whole time you have been here. She has been trying to fix her closet door."
...
Thankfully they had left it at that, and Harry didn't get in trouble for something Dobby the house elf did. Instead she was able to read the stack of letters from Ron and Hermione. They talked about things she didn't know about, but she was happy to finally get them. After she had read them, she had written a reply to each. It was basically the same letter, but only a few things were different in each.
...
Clint was upset that the cake Pepper and Harry had made him was destroyed, but he was happy that they ordered one from a bakery to celebrate his birthday early. They talked about a lot of things at that dinner. One thing they ended up talking about was Harry's school. Tony said that him and Pepper had a bunch of meetings in London near the time that Harry had to go to school, so they told her that they'd be flying to London. Harry was super excited, she couldn't wait to go to London, and eventually back to school.
She was so excited that she wrote another letter to Hermione and Ron. This one said that she was going to be in London for a few weeks before school started, and that she was hopeful they could see each other before they had to get on the train.
As soon as Hedwig came back, she let her rest, and then sent her out once more. Harry couldn't wait for her second year at Hogwarts.
