Part Five
Seeing the figure didn't prove anything to me. I didn't make me believe that it was real, in fact, quite the opposite.
This had to be all in my head; or I was plain crazy, bordering insane.
"I really am here." The tone of his voice was unbelievably confident and almost mocking to me. I shut my eyes tight and shook my head.
"No! People don't just vanish into thin air, or appear when they want. People don't talk in other people's minds!" I snapped, convincing myself this was a dream.
"Have you ever considered," the voice side next to my ear, making my eyes snap open in fear.
The figure was close to me, too close.
"That maybe," it continued, "I'm not a person at all?"
I gulped, scared to the bone. My hands were sweating nervously, and I gulped.
"B-because you're in my he...head, right?" I stuttered, causing the figure to chuckle. It stood back with a sadistic smile plastered on it's face.
"I came here to tell you not to sleep. I have plans for the solution and if you sleep now, well, who knows what'll happen."
"What is the solution?" I asked slowly.
"What does it matter? You said you trusted me, right?"
Something inside of me snapped: anger, frustration, call it what you will. I was beyond pissed at this thing.
"Trust you! You tricked me into trusting you! I don't even know what you are!" I burst out.
There was a brief pause, as if it was considering the answer. Then the sinister smile returned to it's grey face.
"I'm the darkness."
I paused, opening my mouth then shutting it again, completely lost. I only managed a simple 'come again?'.
It chuckled again. "I wouldn't want to bore you, why don't you just call me by my name?"
"Which is?" I blurted, gaining confidence the further it was away from me.
"Pitch. Pitch Black."
A/N: Short again, I know. I suck don't I? Hope you're all okay! Please vote and comment! It means a lot to me!
