Fourteenth chapter

"What?.." I asked shocked.
Geoff sighed and explained again
"Duncan was driving to the hospital but his car crushed with another, a police man called me because I'm his emergency number.. I don't know how he is, I'm worried."
I couldn't believe that, I looked at Kaitlyn that was sleeping in a cradle beside my hospital bed.
I didn't want her to grow up without her father.
"Please tell me if you heard something new about him." I said shutting down the call.
I heard the ambulance sirens and a lot of noises coming from the hall of the hospital, a doctor came in the room for check on me but I was too nervous and asked him immediately.
"What happened??"
He looked at me confused he couldn't understand what I was worrying about.
"There was a car crush and the ambulance brought here the victims of the incident."
He explained.
I sat up on the bed and pulled away the tubes in my arm.
"You have to stay in the bed!"
The doctor say trying to make me lay down.
I couldn't stay there, I needed to see if he was one of the victims.
"No!" I yelled running outside the room and running to the hall.
I saw three people that were carried to the emergency room, I ran over there and saw him.
My heart stopped.
His face was full of bleeding cuts, he had a big cut on his arm and his clothes were ripped.
"Duncan!"
I yelled running to him laying my hands on his cheeks, his blood went on my hands, his body was cold like ice.
"You can't stay here." I heard a voice of a man behind me.
I was shaking Duncan and crying.
"Wake up! Wake up please!" I cried out.
He didn't move, a doctor grabbed me as another took Duncan away,
I fell on my knees, the emptiness inside me got more intense and made me feel numb and alone.
"Will he survive? "
I asked to myself still looking at the door of the room he got brought in.
