Fifteenth chapter

I was holding kaitlyn in my room and I couldn't stop thinking about Duncan,
I was still tired and nervous for the labor and the situation wasn't helping.
I heard knocking at the door, I looked up and it was Bridgette, she was my dear friend from a summer camp, unfortunately she was going to another high school.
"Gwen, Geoff told me what happened I'm so sorry."
She said walking to me and hugging me.
I smiled softly, she was the only one with me.
"I'm so worried.." I said looking down at Kaitlyn.
"I know honey but we can just hope that everything will be fine."
She cheered me up.
"She's so beautiful."
She broke the silence, I smiled and handled Kaitlyn to her.
"Say hi to auntie Bridgette."
She held her cuddling her as she smiled.
A Doctor walked in my room.
"Gwendolyn right? You were asking for that boy of the incident."
My eyes widen.
"Yes."
I said looking at him hopefully.
"We did the possible, but he's in a comatose, I'm sorry, if you want to check on him his room is the 216."
I froze.
"Will..-" tears started falling down my cheeks again.
"Will he survive?"
I asked hoping for a good news, but the expression of the doctor didn't help.
"We don't know Miss."
He said as he left the room.
the thought of growing a baby alone scared the hell out of me.
I felt ready but just with him by my side.
Bridgette looked at me and nodded.
"Go to him I'll keep the baby here with me."
I bit my lower lip and walked to his room, the door was closed.
I sighed and opened it and walked him,
He was full of bandages and a machine was showing his vital signs.
His heartbeat was slow as his breathing.
I sat on the chair next to him, was it my fault? He was driving to the hospital for me.
"Hi Duncan..it's me Gwen.. please wake up...I need you more than ever, I can't stay here without your presence."
I held his cold hand tightly.
"Please.."
I cried.
His heart beating stops and the machine made an acute sound,
Two doctors ran inside and started pushing on his chest.
I covered my mouth as the tears made me see obfuscated.
"Please miss you need to go out."
One of them took me out and ran back inside closing the door.
I felt down crying like a baby.
