Hey been awhile huh? Sorry I fall out of passion in writing and haven't been finding any good books to catch my interest which means I am in the mood to write. hope you enjoy x
"So now what?" Taylah questioned.
Craig and I had just spat into some tubes for DNA and for extra care did blood samples, now Vanoss was putting all away into this big package.
"Now, we send this off and wait for a few weeks. When the test comes back, we will know for sure if they are related." Vanoss stated.
"Then can I kick his butt for being a sack of-" Craig cut me off.
"I really don't think I am her brother, she went from a fighter to depressed by a single action." Craig grumbled.
Fire began burning in me, how I just wanted to tackle him and start swinging but I have already shown off my undergarments more than I would have liked. I poked my tongue out and turned to face Taylah.
Taylah looked down towards my chest, exactly where the owl locket was sitting. Her eyes wandered back up to mine and gave me a raised eyebrow basically asking 'what the?'. I mouthed back that I would explain later.
"So now that Kat is back to normal, she will be working for us. Taylah, you will babysit her. Everyone do not be afraid to ask Kat to do your rooms, if she disobeys informs me. Now last thing, give me back the locket Kat." Vanoss stated as he entered back into the room.
"How about no, it doesn't belong to you. It belonged to Evan Fong." I growled and held onto the necklace.
Everyone tensed up beside Taylah and I, some of them seemed to want to step in to say something but decided against it. Vanoss shook is head in disappointment, slowly he strides towards me. Soon his mask was right in front of me and even through the mask I could feel the intense stare he was holding but that didn't make me back down. My grip tightened on the locket and I glared into his eyes through the mask.
A small hiss escaped my lips as Vanoss grips on my chin, once again, seems to be he favorite place to grab. The air was becoming thick, it felt as heavy static came from Vanoss and mine stare off.
"Listen here Kat, You. Are. Mine. You will listen to everything I say one way or another, I only have so much patience until I start beating the crap out of you again. Now either give me back the locket or I came and take it." Vanoss whispered violently to me.
Instead of shivering, cowering down and giving him what he wanted I just smirked.
"You didn't go through so much effort to get someone who caves in easily you idiot." I teased.
Smack!
I chuckled as I laid my hand as the sore stinging in my cheek, my face was surely red. I heard Taylah gasp, probably wasn't use to this from them but she wasn't a weapon like I was. As I turned to look at him once more, my smirk grew. Everyone had their eyes on us.
"No more nice guy, I am not breaking that locket to get it from you. You will learn Kat." Vanoss growled and began to walk away.
Just has he was about to leave he turned and signaled everyone to follow him.
"Taylah since the alarm was just you, we are going back to train. You watch her and if you fail she receives the punishment." He ordered and then left.
"Wait what! How is that fair!" Taylah yelled and turned to me. "How are you so far on the bad side?"
I smirked and stood to my feet. "It is what I do best, they didn't fight for me for nothing. Now lets clean, I can only disobey so much before I am beaten black and blue."
It had been hours, Taylah had helped me clean the whole place. Every room and every little hidden department, they weren't that hidden to me but to Taylah how shocked she was. Now we were in the kitchen, preparing dinner for the crew.
The whole day Taylah just kept going on how I should just try be friendly, listen to them and they would be nicer but I really do not listen.
"So are you going talk about the locket?" Taylah mumbled as she washed some of the dishes that were no longer needed.
"Well when I was a sorry sack of depressed, Vanoss leaned down in front of me telling me to snap out of it which lead for the locket to fall out. Automatically I knew what it was so I ripped it off of him and yeah, I checked after they left and saw it did hold the picture of Evan and I from our last Halloween." I sighed. "I don't know if he was killed but although it hurts, I hope it just gave the locket away."
Taylah softly rubbed my back and gave me a hug.
"I hope so to, but would it be possible that Vanoss may be Evan? I don't even know his identity so-" I cut her off and continued to placing all the plates down.
"My sweet Evan would never be like Vanoss." I growled.
"Times have changed Kat, just think about it. I am going to go see if the boys are home since I heard some noises." I just hummed in response as she walked out of the kitchen.
I bit my lip at the thought of Vanoss being Evan. Why would my sweet Evan need to become a Gang leader? Someone who kills, someone who beats the crap out of people for answers and submission?
"Why would he ever become like that?" I mumbled.
A small sigh escaped my lips as I set the table for everyone, carefully I placed my plate on the bench for once everyone was seated I would run off to my room. For long await alone time.
"Oh my, Is she learning?" The creepy clowned dude chuckled out.
"Well whatever she is doing, I want more." The guy with the glasses and colorful shirt cheered.
Soon everyone came and sat down.
"Uh, Kat, why isn't there a spot for you?" Taylah questioned.
"I am eating in my room, everyone enjoy." I plainly stated.
No one spoke as I exited the kitchen. Once in my room, I put the food on the drawer and just laid on my bed allowing my thoughts to take over.
My life has changed so much since I got here. First I found out about having a brother, then I lost my friend, made a new gang by combining two, got betrayed by them after an incident. Now I sat as a maid for the gang that hunted me down like an animal, the gang that beat the crap out of me, stole my best friend and possibly murdered my only crush Evan.
But.. What if Taylah was right. What if Evan was Vanoss? He had this nice side to him, everyone in the crew did? Did they had a valid reason for why they behave so rudely and mean? Would I understand if Evan was Vanoss or would I just break down from my image of him being destroyed?
A long sigh left my lips as tears ran down my face. I never so weak before, I was trained to be tough. Have no emotion, especially after the mistake. Then it hit me like a brick.
If they get the DNA samples back and read them they are going to find out my name isn't even Kat Walker, they are going to find out the one thing that hid me from my past and any danger that could come or be awaiting me.
It was way to late to try and retieve it, just have to stop the package from coming and find other way to see if Craig is truly my brother or well show him I am his sister. I have just dug myself another hole.
"Great job, you are a professional trained agent and have messed up in every way. Now I see why Father pulled me away from those I loved. Love makes you valuable to a stuff up." I grumbled as I fall into sleep.
