Tell Me Why You're Hurting

Hey guys so this poem is inspired by the song "Bittersweet" by Ellie Goulding and "All I've Ever Needed" by Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald.

My heart beats like a drum,

only for you, but yours beats like a gun,

our hearts uneven,

tell me what to do, to make it better,

please tell me why you're crying,

tell me how you make your way,

don't forget my name,

come to me when the sun comes up,

we can wath the sunrise together,

in each other's embrace,

what are you running from?,

tell me why you're not okay,

tell me what makes you so upset,

whisper to me so you make sense,

all I've ever needed was you,

tell me why you're hiding,

don't pretend,

your pain isn't going to calm,

unless you let me know,

don't let your tears so quickly dry,

let me brush them for you,

let me heal you,

why don't you hug me?,

"will the pain go away?", you ask,

first open your heart,

take a breath,

count to 3,

now make a wish,

the pain's not gone,

don't let your heart get heavy,

make it as weightless as a feather,

now spread your wings,

and fly
