Chapter 1

Clary's POV

I'm so nervous! Today is my first day of high school. I just moved from Brooklyn with my Brother John.
After turning off my freakishly annoying alarm I hop under the shower. When I'm done washing and drying my hair I put on some ripped black jeans and a white long sleeve. My red curls fall loosely down my back, I've given up trying to tame them already.
"Clary hurry up!" John yells from downstairs.
I wonder why he's even up because he doesn't have to be at work for another hour.
When I get downstairs John is waiting for me.
"Hey Munchkin you nervous?" He asks.
I raise an eyebrow "you really have to ask?"
He grins and gives me a small hug.

I put on my trench coat and my high boots and unlock the car.
On my way to school I stop at Simon's house. I met him last week and we hit it off from the beginning, it's like I've known him for my whole life!
When we arrive at school we run because we're really late already.
Suddenly I crash into a wall. I fall down and then I realize it wasn't a wall. It's a person.
The only way to describe him is gold.
His gorgeous golden locks. His eyes. His skin.
God he's perfect!!!
That's when I realize I'm still on the floor so I quickly get up.
"Watch where you're going!" He snorts.
Surprised by his tone I flinch back.
"I-uh I'm s-sorry." I stutter, I can feel my cheeks turning red.
"Yeah whatever." He murmurs and pushes past me. Surprised I watch him leave.
Wow that was a great way to start my first goddamn day of school. Just great!
