Chapter 12

John's POV

I think she's about to open up to me.
I carefully sit down next to her and take her hand in mine.
"Please Munchkin." I'm basically begging now.
She sighs and starts talking
"At first He just hit me. He said he wanted to have fun with me. But then right before you and Jace came he-..." tears are streaming down her face.
"He raped me." She sobs.
And I freeze. Anger pursing through my body but right now I have to be there for my sister. I embrace her into a warm hug and she cries on my shoulder.
"Shshsh it's ok." I stroke her hair.

Clary's POV

I feel better after telling John, it's like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.
After a while we head downstairs and eat something before we watch some TV.
At around 11pm I can't take it anymore.
I jump up and accidentally scare John.
"What's wrong?" He asks worriedly.
"I have to take care of something."
I quickly put on my shoes and open the door.
"Munchkin it's raining!"
"I don't care."
And then I run down the dark street towards Jace' house.
I knock a few times but no one answers. Maybe he doesn't want to see me.
I grab the key for emergencies and unlock the door. I rush upstairs and open the door to Jace' room.

Jace' POV

I turn my head as someone enters the room.
It's Kaelie.
At the moment I'm at a bar, trying to forget about Clary. She hasn't said anything yet and she probably won't.
So why shouldn't I have a good time?

Clary's POV

I walk in the room, just to find it empty.
Dammit. Where is he. I have to tell him that I love him! Alec. He'll probably know where to find him, since they're best friends.
I call him
(Bold is Alec, normal is Clary)
Alec?
Yep what's up Clary?
I wanted to ask if you know where Jace is?
Umm he said something about going to a club...what was it...? Ah! Pandemonium
Thanks Alec!!
No problem. See you at school.
Yep! Bye
Bye.

Ok so I'll go to Pandemonium. Sounds dangerous.
I rush outside and wave my hand, to catch the attention of a cab driver.
When one comes I quickly slide onto the seat and say "Pandemonium."
"Aren't you a little young for that place?" He asks and looks at me through the mirror.
"I'm older than I look." I grunt.
"If you say so." He shrugs and drives of.
When we arrive I hand him the cash and go inside the club.
I'm looking around when I see a flash of gold.
I rush towards him, getting faster and faster but when no people are covering him I stop dead in my tracks.
Because he's not alone.

Jace' POV

The whole time, I was kissing Kaelie I was imagining Clary.
We're on the dance floor when I hear a shocked gasp. I turn around and see a little redhead.
Clary.
I push Kaelie away, just when Clary turns around and runs away.
I run after her and yell her name. I can't loose her again. When we're outside I grab her arm.
"What Jace?!" She says venomous.
"I came here to tell you that I love you, but I see that you've moved on already! It's been a day!!!!" She shouts.
My head falls down as I say "I'm sorry."
She laughs without humor and turns away again.
"But Clary I love you!"
"Yeah. I could see that." She snorts.
"Clary I need you. I just kissed that girl so that I could forget my pain. And you didn't call...so I thought that you didn't want me.
But Clary I love you!" I'm almost telling now.
A small smile is on her face now.
"I love you too." She says.
"That's all I need."
