It was February 13th, 2019, 10 years since the only person I ever loved died. It was getting harder and harder to remember what her face looked like, the only picture I had with her has started to fade from the tears that have left their marks on it. My mother always told me that I would eventually find the perfect someone, but ever since she passed I found it hard to believe that, that was true.

I was 27, all my friends have either already gotten married or are deeply in love with the woman of their dreams. They all had their futures planned out right at their fingertips, while I'm here sitting in a coffee shop all alone.

Snow covered the roads, as it continued to fall gracefully, along with my hope that I would find someone before I turn 30. My friends have always told me that I don't have someone because I'm cold hearted and is rude to others. But, I can't change that, I've been this way ever since I was young.

Watching out the window I saw couples walking about, people buy chocolates and roses for those who mean the most to them. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched as a girl about my age had walked in, dressed in all white. She looked around the cafe a stopped when she saw me, a frown plastered on her face. She made her way over to me and sat down in the chair across from me, placing her head into the palms of her hands as she looked curiously.

"Can I help you?" I asked confused.

"No, but I can help you, Min Yoongi." She smiled sweetly.

My eyebrows furrowed, as my head tilted slightly to the left.

"What do you mean by that? And how do you know my name?" I said puzzled.

"Oh, sorry I should introduce myself." She said.

Her hand reached across the table.

"My name is Lee Venus. I'm a helper of Cupid himself, well actually I'm his daughter." She announced proudly.

"Ha, daughter of Cupid you must be kidding me." I chuckled in disbelief.

I stood up and made my way out of the cafe, and started down the street.

"You can't get rid of me that easily Yoongi." She verbalized, as she appeared in front of me out of thin air.

My heart jumped as her body became more defined in front of my eyes, she went from being a white blur to the beautiful girl she was before back in the coffee shop.

"Let me help you Yoongi, it pities me seeing people without someone they love in their lives." She spoke sadly, a pout forming on her sculpted face.

Sighing, I stood there thinking about it, before finally answering.

"Fine, but! You only have till sunrise." I commented.

She saluted and took my hand.

"I'll find you someone in no time, but first let me show you something."

Her warm hand pulled me in the direction of the central park. Honestly, I was kind of hoping she was actually real and I wasn't imagining her. I thought maybe this is my chance to find someone of my dreams and let Eomma's dream come true.

I looked up into the sky and smiled, knowing my mother was watching over me. Venus came to a halt when she saw a couple on a bench in front of us. She turned to look at me.

"This, this right here is what true love looks like." She smiled. "Do you feel the pureness that surrounds them, that keeps them connected? It's so powerful."

I watched as the male got down onto one knee and held out a box, as the girl let out sobs of joy. At one point of my life, I remembered that I wanted to do this eventually, to get down on left knee and propose to the person that would be who I loved for the rest of my life.
