Her blue eyes were fixated on the screen in front of her, as she replayed the tape over and over again. The rest of her department members were worried for her health as she's been hunched over her laptop since last week, barely ever diverting her gaze from the pixels which made out the murder scene.
The case has been closed ever since the killings stopped 4 years ago. A dark figure moved across the screen, as it made its way towards the elevator, going up to the 14th floor. The floor where the famous model, Kim Namjoon, had lived. Had.
"Detective Lee, you're still working I see."
She nodded her head but kept paying attention to the screen.
"You need to get some rest. Why don't you call it a day? Or should I say call it a week? The case will right here when you come back."
"I'm fine, don't worry." Lee murmured as she leaned closer towards the screen as something caught her eye.
"Kimberly, get up."
When she heard her first name she stood up pausing the video on her way up.
"Yes, sir?"
"Go home. Now, that's an order."
Finally, she gave in and sighed.
"Yes, sir."
After Kimberly had packed all of her materials and put her raincoat on, she headed out into the windy evening. Rain hit her face as she walked down the neverending sidewalk towards her flat. For it to be bad weather people were all over the streets. A man was walking directly towards her, she had to dodge at the last minute so they wouldn't collide. Their shoulders accidentally hit each other as she tried to get out of his way.
"Sorry," Kimberly said.
She continued on her way but was stopped by a hand on her wrist pulling her into an alleyway.
"You can see me?"
Being too concentrated on her sore wrist and the fact that her heel on her shoe just broke, making her balance unleveled.
"Hello? I asked you a question."
Finally, Kimberly looked up at the man and glared at the tall man in front of her.
"What the hell was that for?!" She shouted, steam coming out of her ears, almost visible.
The man's eyes widened, his hand reaching out to touch her arm. She flinched as she dodged his fingertips as they came closer.
"Stop don't touch me!" She reached towards the inside of her coat and gripped the hidden pistol.
The man kept trying to touch her, that's when she had enough and whipped her gun out and pointed it at the man. But, he stayed unfazed.
"Put your hands where I can see them. Sir, I'm with the Busan Police Department."
The man still moved towards her. A loud bang echoed through the alleyway. The pale Korean woman stood shocked at the sight before her.
"Wha...what a..are you?!" She stuttered, as her mouth hung wide open.
"I can't believe you can see me!"The untouched man rejoiced.
