without futher ado -

It felt hard to breathe. Hard to move. Hard to live. Everything collapsed when they tore my wings off, spending me plummeting to below the stars.

I didn't know how to survive down there. Was it even possible? It felt impossible. The heavens let me go, they let their own son go. Their highly respected son, because I had broken a silly rule.

I was just curious, you know? About all the stories of the underworld, how dark it is down there, about the myths saying that we take all the warmth and brightness from them, and give them the cold and darkness. I just wanted to see if it was true or not. So, I flew down a couple of hundred feet, and my soul dropped. And it was that instant when my pure white wings were ripped off and grew new ones, but these wings. These wings were black.

My wings still worked, letting me have a safe landing. The bright lights illuminated the darkness that filled the air. The air was musky, and thick letting a hue of fog to cover the surface of the ground.

My toes hit the ground balancing myself before my heels followed. As soon as they did, something came out of the sky. It felt wet. Almost like water. Raising my hand up, the liquid fell onto my hand.

"What is this?" I whispered

Goosebumps formed my arms, making me shiver. I started to walk towards anywhere I could get shelter.

Loud laughter was heard coming from the far end of the street as I walked towards them, my bare feet barely touching the cold, wet ground. The sounds of their voices left my ear as I walked past them and further down the street.

The wetness continued to touch my skin, it felt as if my goosebumps had gotten another layer of them. My arms were completely numb, I had no clue where I was going, or what I was going to do.

A tear escaped my eye as I remembered how it felt to be in the sun every day all the time. How it felt as the light breeze and bright sun caressed my figure in a gentle way.

Something caught my attention in the distance.

A bright light.

Not like the ones I saw when I fell here, it was like the light you would see around a pure being, but only angels could see it, so why could I still see it. My powers should've depleted when my white wings were torn off my back.

Being the curious being, like I am, I decided to walk towards it, to investigate who this pure being could be and why they were down here in the first place.

The shallow arches of my feet glided through the air as my black wings were spread so I wouldn't have to touch the ground.

When I got closer to the being, I realized that they weren't alone. He was with someone else. To be precise he was with a girl. But, only I could know that this girl was no ordinary girl.

She had a dark soul. The ones that were supposed to live below this place in an even darker environment.

"What is she doing up here?" I commented to myself.

Almost on cue, the girl turned around. But, she wasn't at all like I expected and neither was he.

The boy had minty colored hair, round glasses and was about 5'8. He seemed genuinely happy.

Almost, too happy.

On the other hand.

The girl, or the dark soul. She was nothing like I expected.

Her hair was long and light brown. Her eyes glistening in the light of the boys.

The thing that caught me off guard was that dark soul were made utterly for destruction and chaos. But, this soul.

The soul had a sense of sadness in it. I watched as she looked at me, a single tear falling down her face. Her mouth moved, as she was trying to tell me something.

Her mouth moved to create these words.

"Please, please let me live with the time I have left."

When I was a child, I was told that these types of beings were liars, cons. All they wanted was attention. My father had told me to always stay away from them, that they were sickened, infected, but maybe he was wrong.

Maybe, we were all wrong. About everything.

Why did we have to be on top?

Why did humans and dark souls have to suffer just because they are different?

Just because they weren't born with wings and were as tan we were, what made us have the right to punish them for being who they are? For who they want to be or to become?

It hurts me to see this person being so full of guilt and sorrows.

This world was not about angels. It wasn't created just for us. It was created to make us be able to believe in one another, find the differences between our species and connect with one another.

Unfortunately, my kind was too absorbed in their power that they never got a chance to see the harm that they were doing to the rest.

Unknown's POV

I heard a whisper in the distance, so I turned around only to see a fallen angel standing not far from Yoongi and I. I knew this angel.

Actually, I was very close to this angel before. I'm guessing he just didn't know it. I'm guessing father never told Namjoon about me before. Probably because I was born with a dark soul.

It hurts you know?

When your family doesn't want you anymore, because of the sickness that people are born with when they are named as dark souls.

I only have a week to live, and I want to spend what's left of my time with the one I truly love.

Yoongi.

I whispered to Namjoon before turning around.

"I miss you joonie."

I took Yoongi's hand in mine and walked off, never turning to look at my twin brother. Afraid that I might run to him and never let go.

I truly miss him. But, my family did what was best for him.

They took me out of the picture.

"goodbye namjoon." I murmured before leaving for good.

Namjoon's POV

I heard her saying my name, but how does she know my name?
