Secrets of a Girl at Ghoul School

Chapter 2

I finished my work and tests and headed to my dorm with the Hōkō.

"We need to give you a name if you're gonna be staying with me." I said "How about... Nao?"

He nodded happily and I smiled at him.

"Great." I chirped

I walked into Yokai Studies with Nao and took my seat.

"Happy birthday Skye," Mame said happily

"We got you these sweets," Sano said

"Thanks, Blondie." I smiled "That's really s- wait.. did you say birthday. What day is it?"

I frantically checked the date on my phone and my fears were confirmed by the familiar voice that rang through the hallways. I used a desk to jump up and front flip onto the light above the door.

Sano's P.O.V

A girl that looked eerily exact to Skye, except with jet black hair instead of dark violet and ash grey eyes rather than midnight purple, stormed into the classroom.

"SKYE?!" she called angrily

Skye dropped down from the ceiling, landing on her feet behind the girl, and sweep kicked the girl off her feet. As the girl fell she kick as Skye so that she was lifted off the ground and thrown across the room. They both quickly got to their feet and met each other's glares.

"So you finished training. Huh, Star?" Skye hissed while walking towards her

"Spare me the small talk. Quit this charity act and come back to the fucking family." the girl hissed "You're a Night. Start acting like it."

She threw a punch but Skye caught her wrist and flipped her to the ground. When she hit the ground she kicked Skye's legs out from under her.

"I may share a name with you people but I am not one of you!" Skye spat "How can you actually follow Father's orders when he killed Mom?!"

They both rose to their feet and exchanged hits and blows to the other one, however, they both blocked or dodged every hit.

"She was a traitor and turned you against us!" Star spat back

"Then why wait nine years?" Skye hissed, "He killed her because he found out she was a yokai!"

Star stopped fighting for a moment.

"No," she said weakly, "NO!" she yelled, pulling an anti-yokai gun out of seemingly nowhere "Father would never marry one of those monsters!"

"They're not monsters!!" Skye yelled back and kicked the gun out of her hands

It flew into the air and she caught it when it came back towards the ground.

"Mom was an Oni! A Hannya, but she wasn't evil!" she yelled at Star, "He didn't know because she used her magic to hide her horns!"

Star took out an anti-yokai knife and tried to stab me but Skye shot it out of her hand with the anti-yokai gun, leaving the skin of her hand singed and confirming she was part yokai.

"Your fight is with me!" Skye yelled

Star kicked the gun out of Skye's hand and got it back and aimed at Utagawa.

"Die Gashadokuro!" she yelled but a barrier showed up and protected Utagawa from the blast

"I.. said.." Skye panted, her eyes glowing "Your fight's... with me."
