Sam turns her head to the left and sees her friend Maddie on the ground holding her neck while blood starts to pool around her.
"Maddie!" Sam shouts running over to her friend and grabs a towel from the counter and holds it to Maddie's neck, "It's gonna be okay Maddie. I promise"
Sam wipes her forehead forgetting that she had her friend's blood on her hands, "It's gonna be okay. Just stay calm" Sam then looks up at the other bartender, "I need you to call 911, now!"
"Sammy?! Was anybody hit?" Erin asks running over to the bar.
"It's Maddie, I need more towels" Sam says as Erin hands her more.
The ambulance arrives as Lindsay escorts them to the bar, "Shot to the neck. My partner has her behind the bar"
"Alright we got it from here. I need a stretcher, the backboard and kerlix for the bleeding" Sylvie Brett says as Sam stands up and moves out of the way so the paramedics can do their job.
Sam then turns to look at Erin with anger and Erin says, "We'll get em'"

Erin and Sam drive to the district and Sam heads straight for the locker room to get cleaned up.
Sam washes off her bloody hands in the sink, thinking about if Maddie is okay or not. As Sam looks into the mirror at her reflection, all she can see is pure anger and in that moment, all she could do was hate herself because if she didn't shoot Jacob Bembenek, then Maddie wouldn't have been shot, so from this pure rage she was feeling, she punches the mirror and tears ran down her face as she slid down against the wall onto her butt.
And just a couple seconds later Jay walks in from being told by Erin what happened so he could check on her. He sat next to the crying girl and wrapped his strong arms around her and says, "Shhh..it's gonna be okay, Sammy. We'll find him"

Sam and Jay walked back to the unit after it took him about 10 minutes or so to calm down Sam and to bandage up her hand.
"You okay, Sam?" Voight questions.
"Yeah Sarg, I'm good"
"So you know the victim?"
"Yeah, Maddie Callahan, she worked at the bar and we went to high school together"
