Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Mike and Kara have been hanging out a lot going to the library, each other's house and going out as friends. Alex was already asked out to the dance with Maggie. Alex finally realized that she is was gay, every time she hangs with her she feels like a weird connection to her like they were meant to be but she thought something was just wrong with her body but Maggie also felt it with Alex. Then Maggie asked Alex to the dance and Alex said yes was surprising to Maggie but she went with it. Kara was starting to like Mike but not as a friend like more then that. School was already over since it was a early dismissal and that made more time for everyone and Mike didn't have practice and Mike was thinking to ask her but he wasn't sure so he decided to hang out with her and go to a cafe close to their house and he saw one close and it was Starbucks he never saw one on Midvale but he heard it was a cafe so he went to her house and knocked he had already texted her that he was coming to take her to Starbucks. Kara answer the door and was already ready "hey" Kara says smiling "hi, you ready" "yeah let's go" she gets her jacket because it was kinda windy and talked all the way to the cafe. They arrive at Starbucks and they see some kids from their school was coming out from the cafe and it was the basketball team well only four of them and of course knew Mike since he was popular and they both had their eyes widen they didn't want nobody to know they were hanging out because then people would think they would be dating so Mike and Kara looked down like they didn't see them but they saw them . They saw Kara and Mike coming to the door which they were close to there with their heads down "oh hey guys" one of them said Mike and Kara both looked up and Mike played it cool and pretend he didn't see them "oh hey Drick, Adam, jack, and Sebastian" Mike knew all their names since he was also in the basketball team as the best player there "oh wait are you guys dating" Adam said and he was a dumb kid but funny and good at basketball. Mike didn't want this to happen he knew they would think that I mean he does like Kara and Kara likes him but they both don't know that, they both don't say anything until Kara decides to say something she didn't mean "yes" after she said that she covered her mouth and looked at Mike and he looked at her surprised, she looked at him with a sorry face. The boys were shook "oh my gosh two cool guys dating each other that's cute" Sebastian said he is smart but very funny not as Mike though. Mike didn't want Kara to be embarrassed so he played along "yes I know now can you guys leave us alone we want to enjoy ourselves" Mike was a good actor so they believed him they all nodded and left. Kara and Mike went in the cafe and both took deep breaths and they ordered what they wanted even though it was Mikes first time he knew what a pink drink was it was his favorite and Kara actually got the same has him, it was also her favorite. They sat on a table and Mike talked first "why did you say yes when they asked if we were dating" Mike asked "Mike I said it because..." she hesitated "because what" "because I...like...you..I mean like like you" she said at the last sentence she didn't hesitate "anyway why did you play along" she asked Mike was now his turn to say about her "I... also like like you" he says staring into his pink drink "you know since we told them we were dating they will tell everyone" she looks at the window in front of us and at her drink "yeah...and tomorrow is the dance I did wanted to go with you but I didn't know you liked me too" "well I did wanted also to go with you do you think we should just hang out somewhere else since people will be asking questions at the dance" she says and looks at him "I think that would perfect" Mike said and Kara nodded "so it's a date" Mike added "if you want to" she was giving him the choice "ok then it's a date" "okay then" Kara says Mike looks at his watch and sees that is almost 7:00 he needed to sleep early for tomorrow because his mom hates when he sleeps after coming from school because he stays up late "oh shoot I have to go my mom wants me to sleep at 7 now since every time I stay up late I sleep after school and she hates that" he says looking back at her and she was looking at the time on her phone "oh me too my sister would get worried she told that I had to get home at 7:10" now they were looking at each other "well let's get you home". Mike drives her home and they both get out  and say bye to each other and Kara hugs Mike as a goodbye hug, the hug ended after five seconds they both pull away and look at each other deeply into their eyes Kara wanted to kiss him but she wanted to wait after the date and Mike also wanted the same but somehow they were getting closer but someone came out the door, Alex "oh he-oh sorry am I interrupting something" she says coming out the door but stops when she sees them looking like they were about to do something. Kara clears her throat and looks away from him and Mike just looks around like he wasn't doing anything "no I was just saying goodbye" Kara goes to the door and turns around to Mike and wave  to him "see you tomorrow" she says "see ya" he waves back and gets to his car and leaves and Kara goes in the house and sees Alex in front of her "I was about to get you I was worry but I guess you were busy" she said with a smirk "nothing happened I just lost track of time, I'm going to sleep" she said going to my room "mmhm good night" Alex says through the stairs "good night" Kara yells so she could hear me since she was in my room already. Kara gets into comfort clothes and goes to sleep
