A week later

Julietta Ramons  was the name of the new girl. The one who had arrived in the middle of the week and whose mere presence had left the whole class shaken .

Now, Rosaline Houston , Rosa , as her friends called her ,  paid no heed to the new girl.  She had been too busy trying to juggle studies , dates with her boyfriend , extra curricular activities and  a few TV shows to give a second thought about the new girl .

So what if her name was Julietta ?
Romeo Andrews was Rosaline 's boyfriend and had been for quite a long time, 3 years to be exact , so there's no way a new girl with a strange name would change all that.

It was a mere coincidence after all.

However, when Romeo had gasped and  opened his mouth in shock at he presence of Julietta Ramons,  Rosaline couldn't help but  squirm a little .

Maybe it's the name ,she thought,
it must not have anything to do with her beauty.

Right?

Because try as she might, Rosa couldn't help but accept the fact albeit begrudgingly, that Julietta not Juliet,  was breathtakingly beautiful.

She had long curly brown hair, a picture perfect face, with a straight nose, plump lips, green doe eyes and a woe is me expression.

She was a serene beauty compared to Rosaline 's aloof drop dead gorgeous looks . Something in Julietta awakened a guy's primal instincts to protect that girl from the cruel world, to cherish her, to make her his.  It was evident from the stares Rosaline saw Julietta get throughout the week.

Rosaline herself couldn't help but gasp at the beauty who had stood in front of the class that day, but had soon dismissed her as class resumed.

Just another new girl. None of my concern really.

However, after a week, she could feel the whispers of everyone in the hallways, the cafeteria, the classes, heck even the debate club , talking about the mysterious yet alluring beauty whose appearance had taken the school of Edgerton High by storm.

Now Rosaline was considered the most popular girl in the school,  a queen bee if you will, and so it was natural that she got jealous upon hearing the name of this mere nobody everywhere she went.

Even the guys on the football team , who were her friends since kindergarten , had mentioned about this new girl in passing.

Rosaline, however, paid them no heed. She was the queen bee, why care about a nobody?  She was too busy caught up in her own life to give that new girl even a glance.

Rosaline was an honour roll student , and it was her dream to go to Yale , so she had taken up a few extra curriculars in school.

Her favourite, however, was the drama club.

Every year, the drama club would host an annual play which was the most famous thing to ever happen in their school, even more popular than the football and basketball matches.

And every year , Rosaline had gotten the role of the main lead . She had even been praised by the teachers for her superb acting skills, and even a few reporters had interviewed her and posted her name on the daily newspaper.

This year, she had been appointed the vice president of the drama club so understandably, she was quite excited for the first meeting after classes got over.

During lunch break, Rosa met her best friends Hanabi Shimura and Viola Pachinsky , and sat with them at the popular table , as it was loosely termed by everyone in the school.
