Willowpaw walked in along with the rest of WindClan. He wandered off, looking for Starlingpaw. He pushed through cats before finally finding Starlingpaw.
"Starlingpaw!" He purred, coming up behind her. She turned around, her expression lighting up once she saw him. "Willowpaw, I'm so happy to see you!" She purred, rubbing her forehead on his cheek as a friendly gesture.
"I'm so glad I get to see you." He purred, sitting down with her, waiting for the Gathering to start. "The Gathering, is starting." Spottedstar, ThunderClan's leader, grumbled, trying to hush the speaking cats. Troutstar cleared his throat, "I'll speak first. RiverClan is doing well, two kits, Alderkit and Oakkit became apprentices." The gray leader smiled briefly, looking at the other leaders.
"Very well then," Nettlestar began, "WindClan is doing well with prey, our kits are strong and healthy, and Tinypaw just became a warrior, taking on his new name of Tinyfoot." He meowed, "But, sadly one of our warriors, Sunstreak, has gone missing." he sighed, then exchanging a glance with Tanglestar, of ShadowClan, waiting for him to speak.
"Oh, yes." Tanglestar nodded, noticing Nettlestar's glance, "ShadowClan isn't doing very well," He sighed regretfully, "we are low on prey and our kits are hungry. But, we will stand strong and make sure our kits and elders are the top priority." He assured firmly, waiting for Spottedstar to speak.
"ThunderClan is low on prey this leafbare," She began, looking out onto the cats below. "Our patrols here at fourtrees have noticed WindClan has been pretty plentiful on prey." She meowed, exchanging a glance with Nettlestar.
Willowpaw noticed his acorn brown leader tense up slightly. "So, we demand that you let our warriors hunt in your territory." Nettlestar's expression changed, eyes widened. "You must be joking, there will be nothing of the sort!" He yowled, looking utterly flabbergasted. Spottedstar hissed, "Our kits will go hungry!" Nettlestar's pelt bristled at her words, his eyes narrowed as they could be seen from a small distance.
"That doesn't concern WindClan! We will have our borders and you shall have yours." He asserted himself with the ThunderClan leader. Spottedstar glared at him, her pelt bristling furiously. "Very well then, you and your prey-hogging Clan can let our kits starve." She sneered. Nettlestar rolled his eyes, "I suppose the Gathering is over." He sighed, looking down.
Nettlestar stepped down from his high branch and into the area. Willowpaw looked over at Starlingpaw, noticing she had seemed rather lost in thought. "What'cha thinking about?" He asked her, wondering what was going on in her mind. Starlingpaw looked at him for a brief moment.
She whispered into his ear, "Do you think..maybe you could meet me here at fourtrees tomorrow?" Willowpaw looked at her, sighing slightly. "I don't know if I can," He explained regretfully, "Nettlestar is making new rules, apprentices can't leave without two warriors and another apprentice." He frowned once he was finished speaking.
"Oh, okay." Starlingpaw meowed, she looked at her paws and back up at him. "Maybe if I get one of the apprentices and two warriors to come, you know, I can come with them, but like, come." He told her, chuckling at his explaination.
"WindClan!" Nettlestar called all of his warriors back to head to camp. Willowpaw stood up, rubbing against Starlingpaw's brown and white spotted pelt. "I'll see you when I can!" He smiled brightly before bounding over to his leader and the rest of the WindClan herd who had been waiting for him.
