Because the fact that I've been shot three times. Once in the stomach, in my arm and also on m shoulder. I wasn't able to start school on Monday like I was supposed to. So instead in starting school today. Three weeks later.

As I pick out my clothes for my first day of school I try to remember the face of the person that came into my house almost a month ago. All I remember is that he had deep sea blue eyes and that he was very fit. Not that that last part was important but its true!

Picking out a black lace crop top and laying it out next to my black tights, I start to clean up the huge mess that's on my floor. After everything is cleaned up I begin to get dressed. Putting on my black thong and matching black bra on first I look at myself in the mirror. I've gotten a little an from sitting out on my porch swing and reading books. But other than that I look exactly the same. The same long brown hair and the same old four pack. But instead of having a nice smooth stomach like always there's an added addition to my body. A bullet wound lays upon my relatively flat stomach.

Sighing at the sight of my new scar I look at the rest of my body. Seeing two more bullet wounds on my left shoulder an my right arm. it doesn't hurt as much as it did but they still are bruised a little. but i honestly don't care if people see my scars because i really don't know them.

after I'm one getting dressed i descend the stairs and head straight for the kitchen. closing my eyes and crossing my fingers, i look up towards the sky and pray. "Please, if there is any type of god up there don't let the tragedy that happened three weeks ago happen again. make sure there is food in here. make sure there are cups in the cupboard. let there be delicious brownies and oatmeal cream pies in the pantry. Please please pleaseeeee don't let this EVER happen to me again. Thanks"

Taking a deep breath I open the refrigerator and see it stocked up with my favorite foods. Letting out a breath that I didn't even know that I was holding, I begin to grab some breakfast that I can eat while I'm in the car because other wise I'll be late for school.

Grabbing a container of strawberries and a plain doughnut, I race towards my front door while screaming a goodbye to my mother that I probably still asleep in her bed room. Hopping in my car I sit all my things into the passenger seat. I type in the schools address into GPS and I begin my journey.

I park in the first parking a lot that I lay my eyes on. as soon as I step one foot out of the car everyone's eyes are on me. Don't pay attention to the stare Riley. Don't do anything embarrassing or something that will make the rest of he year hell.

I'm trying so hard right now not to look at anyone that's looking at me. But I can hear people whispering about me. Saying things like,
"Who's that?" or "She's kinds hot."

Quickly getting my things from my car I head towards the building and try to find my way to thee office. Luckily the office is right next to the main entrance.

When I walk into the office I see an old lady with a gray bun sitting onto of hr head. Looking at the rest of her I see that she's wearing a long floral dress that looks extremely cute on her. She has the face of a grandmother.

"What can I help you with dear?" She questions with a sweet motherly tone. "I was wondering if you could help me get my schedule, you see I'm new here and I don't know any of my classes yet." I say back trying to sound as sweet as she does.

"Sure hun I'll get your things right away. Please wait here and help yourself to some chocolates." She said as she pulls out a baggie filled with chocolates.

Grabbing the baggie I kindly wait for her too come back with my schedule. A few minutes later she has a stack of textbooks in a neat pile and my classes sitting right on top.

"Thank you Mrs....." I trailed off waiting forget to finish my sentence. "Jones." she replied again sweetly.

"Alright I guess I'll be going now. and thanks again Mrs Jones." I say t her wth a smile.

After my wonderful conversation with the secretary, I leave the office and begin my way towards my first class.

I've been walking around for probably ten minutes and I still haven't found where my stupid fucking math class is. Where the hell could it be? I mean I'm pretty sure that I've been up and down every stair case. And I still haven't found this dumb ass classroom. just as I'm about to give up I see the room I'm supposed to be in.

Ugh finally! I do a little victory dance and then i walk into the classroom. as soon as my sneakered foot steps onto the ground everyone eyes are on me. I begin to step more into the room and i look around to see if I saw any ones face. Even tho I knew I wouldn't know anyone I still looked at each of their faces.

I could immediately tell apart the different social groups just by the way everyone was sitting. The jocks obviously sit next to the wanna be Barbie's, and they sit in the middle so they can be the center of attention. You could see the nerds sitting in the front and the reckless kids sitting in the back or in the corners. And then the neutral kids sitting everywhere else. Not knowing where to sit I walk towards the teacher thinking that he will give me somewhere to sit. But when I got to his desk he looks me straight in the eyes and says "Just because your new here doesn't mean that you get special treatment. Now where were you because you fifteen minutes late."

"Sorry, someone told me to go to hell but I couldn't find my way at first, but don't worry I'm here now." I replied sarcastically.

As soon as that sentence left my mouth everyone started laughing. I usually would feel bad about what I had just said to my new teacher but I guess after moving from my friends and family. I feel like don't even need to care what people think of me anymore. I don't know anyone in this city and no one knows me so now I can act like my actual self. I can act like the me that I was when I was all alone in my room singing along to just in beiber songs.

"EXCUSE ME?!?" my still unnamed teacher yelled at me. " GO SIT DOWN IN THE BACK OF THE CLASS AND DONT SAY A WORD AGAIN."

with a roll of my eyes i flipped my teacher the bird and began my walk to the back.

Instead of talking like the teacher should he just got up and wrote on the board that said, EVERYONE DO WHAT YOU WANT. I REALLY DON'T CARE BUT JUST DON'T GET TOO LOUD OR YOU'LL BE DOING PROBLEMS OUT OF THE BOOK.

Shrugging my shoulders I walk to the back of the room sitting next to some guy with giant muscles.
as i sit down next to him he doesn't even look up at me or give me a side was glance.

Putting in my headphones I start to listen to This Is Gospel by Panic! At The Disco. I turn the volume all the way up so I don't hear other peoples conversations. After about a minute of bobbing my head along to the music I feel someone tap me on the shoulder.
I look over towards to culprit that dared to interrupt my music and raised an eye brow. The gut with huge muscles made the motion for to take my ear buds out. I just shrugged my shoulders and faced forward again while continuing to bob my head.

About thirty seconds later I feel another, much harsher tap but instead of turning towards him I continue to ignore him. After about another 15 seconds he rips my ear buds out of my ears and the headphone jack in my phone. He pockets my property and looks me straight in the eye.

I look at him as if he's crazy and I say to him,"What the actual fuck?"

"Well you wouldn't answer me so I had to go to extreme measures." He replies like its the most obvious thing in the world."

"What do you want from me?!" I ask him.

" I was just wondering....... what happened to you arm and stomach?"
