Makayla Grey was up and eating breakfast before she had to head to athlete meeting. It was the summer before her junior year her mom gave her some money for gas and said "Baby I've gotta get to work so I'll see you tonight."
"Thanks mom' She said as her mom kissed her head.
"Drive safe baby just because it's a sports car doesn't mean you have to drive fast." Miranda her mom said
"I know mom." she said
Makayla finished up her cereal then cleaned her bowl then went upstairs to her room and curled her blonde ponytail then did her make up. She put on a pair of a black denim shorts with a black bralette and a white shirt with the shoulder falling off on one side. She put on her converse shoes then headed to the high school in her white mustang GT500.
She put her top down and put her aviators on then turned up her music. She turned down the road to the school just as "Confident" was playing. Wanda said "Grey is here." as she turned into the parking lot.
"Damn that car." Natasha said
She revved it up a little then she put her top back up on her mustang then got her iced coffee then got out of the car. "Hey Grey that's a hell of a car." Wanda said
"Thank you." she said as she walked up the parking lot.
Bucky was coming up the road in his big black diesel truck with "Butterfly" by Crazytown blaring as he plays drums against his steering wheel with his sunglasses on. He pulled into the parking lot and Wanda rolled her eyes and tapped on her passenger window and said "Clint your boyfriend is here."
Steve and Sam got out of Natasha's car when they heard his music. "What did you all do party to hard with Barnes." Makayla said
"Shut up Grey." Clint said
"He doesn't seem the least bit as hung over at you three" Makayla said
"We said to shut up Makayla" Sam said
"Oh so grouchy this morning." she said as she walked away.
Wanda took Bucky's sunglasses off and said "You are fucking high Barnes"
"Leave me alone.. so what if I am I don't fucking care." he said as he put visine in his eyes then gave it to the boys.
"Where did you all go last night?" Natasha said
"We went to a party." Bucky said
"Then you wonder why I broke up with Clint" Wanda said as she walked away then said "Don't call me for a ride when you are to hungover to drive and that goes for the other two of you. I'm done with this bull shit."
She sat down beside Makayla in the gym on the bleachers. "You okay Wanda?' Makayla said
"Yeah I'll be fine.. I just I'm so tired of Clint's bull shit we break up and yet he still calls me when he wants sex or when he's to hung over cause he went to a party with Barnes and the boys." Wanda said as Natasha sat down with them.
The boys came in and sat down with the football team.
"Alright boys and girls it's a new season that means new captains." Coach Lambert said in a booming voice.
The boys started to rub their temples half the football team was hung over when the girls looked over at them. Wanda smirked "A football player party wonder who through it." she whispered
"The only one that didn't seem to hung over cause he does it all the time." Nat whispered
"Alright let's start with the cheerleaders and dancers. Give my boys some time get out of their hang over fog." Coach Lambert said
Coach Jones said "Okay girls.. um this will be easy cause my captain I have chosen will be for both teams. She has shown me on both teams that she deserves her time to shine. That's Makayla Grey."
"Me?" Makayla said
"Yes you." Coach Jones said
Makayla got up and stood beside her and said "This will be your new captain for Varsity cheer and Varsity Dance."
Bucky looked up and saw the blonde then looked at the old captain Ashley who had a look of defeat on her face. "Wonder why she's not picking Ashley" Steve said
"I'm picking her not only because she deserves a chance to shine but also because I know she will be able to do the job and get us trophies and not just participation ribbons at competitions." Coach Jones said
Ashley wiped tears and looked down. The cheer coach appointed her new JV captain for both cheer and dance then Coach Lambert said "Alright boys this isn't going to be much of a change Barnes get up you are the Varsity team captain now. And Baker you are the JV team captain."
"Take a look guys this is your captain team. Freshmen and Sophomores you will report to your JV team captain if you need help with anything and you can't find a coach. Juniors and Seniors these two are who you report to when you need a coach and can't find us. Also captains when we have away games you sit together. " Coach Jones said
"This meeting is over practice this afternoon boys that should give you all plenty of time to get over your hangover from Barnes' party that he threw last night." Coach Lambert said
Bucky looked at coach and he said "I didn't throw a party."
"You can't fool me Barnes. I know it was your party get your boys straighten up we have practice at 3." Coach Lambert said
"Yes sir." Bucky said
"Girls practice at 2." Coach Jones said
Ashley walked over to Coach Jones and said "I quit."
"Ashley.." Coach Jones said
"I don't want to cheer anymore besides I was going to tell you to give it somone else anyways cause I'm moving." she said
"Oh.." Coach Jones said and she took Ashley's uniforms.
Makayla got to her car and started it up then turned up her music "I Do" by Toya started to play. She pulled out of her spot then she left to go do what she needed to do before practice.
Bucky looked at the boys and said "Go home take a shower eat something take some Tylenol and take a nap then be ready to practice. And next time don't call your girlfriends to pick your asses up cause Im sure that's who ran their fucking mouth that it was my party."
Wanda was about to walk away and he said "Maximoff.."
"What?' she said
"Whose Makayla Grey?' he said with a smile
"I know that look she may be captain Buck but Makayla isn't one that likes to be center of attention." she said
"Yeah but she is gorgeous. Cant wait to see her in action this afternoon." he said as he got in his truck. Ashley heard him and shook her head as she got in her car and said "Goodbye Barnes it was fun." then left.
