I look in awe at the building in front of me, the dorm building. It's absolutely stunning.
The greyish bricked building had beautiful archways under it where you walked towards the entrance door. A stacked grass field in front of it, with a small set of stairs and a statue of the founder of the school.
I struggled dragging my luggage with me, and started to go on the small set of stairs. Even though it's like the smallest step I somehow managed to lose my balance because the largest suitcase escaped my grip. I soft scream escaped my lips and I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for the impact, but it never came. (yes this story is going to be very cliché sometimes, oops)
I open my eyes and I see a tall man hovering over me. His red jacket had white stripes on it, and it traced around his tensed muscles, as they were set at work holding me. He had the most gorgeous chocolate brown eyes, and his features gave away he had asian blood flowing through him. I couldn't deny the fact that he was quite handsome.
A soft breeze of the cold wind suddenly got out of my trance, and I became fully aware of the fact that he was still holding me, both of us silently taking in each others features. "Thanks" I stuttered blushing a soft red, and that made the mysterious man fall out of his trance too. He quickly placed me back on my feet, and I noticed his cheeks also glowed in a soft red color.
I looked away from the man and picked up all my luggage that had fallen, struggling to pick it all up at once. Come on (y/n), you're strong! But when I finally got the last bag in the air, the first one escaped my grip, my fingers still slightly intertwined with it. It almost made me fall again, but the stranger swiftly held me. "Thanks, again.." I whispered, but loud enough for him to hear. He just smiled at me. What a pretty smile.. "No problem! Do you need any help with all of that?" I shook my head no.
"Oh no that's okay." I chuckled nervously, and tried to drag all the bags with me, giving up on the fact on lifting it up. I need those damn airport carts again. I thought, making me chuckle in my head. "Yeah no give me the bags, you're going to tear them if you continue this" He chuckled, which sounded very cute, and took the heavy bags and placed them on his shoulder effortless. The only thing I now had was my suitcase with wheels, and I sighed in defeat following the kind stranger who had already started walking towards the entrance. We walked inside and I looked at all the people around me. I frowned, noticing they were all guys. Now that I think about it, I actually haven't seen a single girl anywhere here. Must be a coincidence, there are alot of girl gamers. I simply can't be the only one, right?
We walked towards the desk where a kind man stood, looking at me and the guy besides me curiously. "Can I help you miss?" I nodded and searched my bag for the letter. Where is that damned thing..
I finally found it, seeing it had made its way all the way to the bottom of the bag, and lifted it out, handing it to the man behind the desk. He started to read the paper and I noticed one of his eyebrows lifted up in the air, while the kind stranger next to me placed my bags on the ground, seeing lifting the heavy things right now was useless. The man behind the desk looked back at me with a curious smile, making me question why he looked so curious. It was kind of weirding me out, if I had to be honest. "So it is true!" he said, amusement filled his tone. I just looked at him confused, what is true? "Sorry?" I asked, and he just smiled once again.
"I heard there was going to be a girl joining, but I didn't believe it until now!" he followed, and started ticking away on his computer in front of him. "What do you mean a girl joining, why is that weird?" I caught not only the guy besides me staring at me, but felt the eyes of every single person around us look at me. This whole situation is very, very uncomfortable. "Oh you're the first girl to join this University!" the guy said, and started to type on his computer, clicking some things, once more. I slowly started to get a tiny panic attack at this, and the fact that everybody's staring at me doesn't help. I mean I always hanged out more with guys rather than girls, but having at least some girls around you can be nice. Okay, deep breathes. This is going to be fine. I hope.
"There ya go" The man handed me a pass and a key. "The pass is to enter the dorm, and the key is for your room. All your roommates have already arrived, if you run into any problems please let me know!" I smiled at him, thanked him and walked away a bit from the desk so the next person could be helped. The guy who still had my bags followed me. "What room are you in?" He asked, as he looked at the key in my hand. I noticed the keychain containing my dorm room number on it and read it out loud. "Room 24C" I looked back up at the guy and I noticed he was stunned by what I just said. "Is something wrong?" I followed, furrowing my eyebrows, then a smirk formed on the guys face. "No, nothings wrong, roomie "
My eyes widened when he said that, I completely forgot that I had to share my dorm room with guys! Oh god, and don't I have to share it with 9 other people? Oh my god. Okay, deep breaths, it's going to be okay. "You're my roommate?" I asked in disbelief. How convenient is this? The guy that helped me out, literally the first person I speak to arriving here, is my roommate? Life is weird sometimes. "Yeah, room 24C is my room too" he showed me his key, which held the exact same number on it. "Come, let's get you to meet the rest"
He motions me to follow him, and we entered wing C, walking past the first few doors. "I'm Evan by the way" I noticed he gave me a warm smile, and I smiled back shyly. "Pleasure meeting you Evan, I'm (y/n)"
