Tall Star and Jake

another gathering...

Jake and Tall Star went for a walk in the morning just to get away form the clan for a bit.. Jake purred, "Hey tonight is another gathering right?" "Yeah, sure is." Tall Star felt voice shake a bit, he couldn't tell why though.....  "Some thing wrong Tall Star?" Jake asked, "No, nothing at all." Tall Star and Jake went back to camp they brought some prey with them also, so it seemed as though they went hunting, instead of a stroll. They went to the gathering later that night they sat down, then they smelled something. It was Ash Fur and Scourge, Tall Star and Jake ignored it, just trying to make sure the other clans smelled it too. The meeting began in the middle of Fire Star speaking, Tall Star knew Fire Star scented the formal Blood Clan warrior, "And Thund-." Fire Star sniffed the air, "What.. Is.... That?" Fire Star followed the scent,  Jake and Tall Star fallowed him, "Scourge? I thought you were long gone from here!" Fire Star growled, "Leave Scourge and Ash Fur alone." Tall Star defended the two toms that were already ready to fight, "What why?.... Is there something your not telling me?!" Fire Star persisted, "Yes, Fallow me, I can explain." Tall Star led him to shelter behind the trees, "I care for you Fire Star, I truly do, but I also care for your family also! Scourge is your brother and if he and Ash Fur want to listen to a gathering leave them be!" Tall Star growled to Fire Star, "Where is this coming from?"Fire Star looked bewildered, "He came to Wind Clan as a prisoner, he is Jake's son, he left the next day, another time a few moons later, he had Ash Fur on his back and asked for Bark Faces help, I accepted, now that I know what drove him to once be leader of Blood Clan, I know he is not as bad as you think he is Fire Star! Say what you want! Hate me and Jake all you want! That does not change my respect to Scourge!" Tall Star vented, "Fine." Fire Star rolled his eyes, "Thank you, i'm going to go to chat with them for a bit." Tall Star strolled over to Scourge and Ash Fur, "Hey Tall Star." Scourge greeted, "Hey Scourge." Tall Star said back, after the gathering they all went there own ways. "What did you tell him?" Jake asked, "Who? Fire Star?" Tall Star asked, "Yeah you mouse-brain!~" Jake joked. "I told him the whole story." Tall Star said, going over to the fresh kill pile, "Hungry?" Tall Star asked, "No." Jake replied, "Yes you are." He said giving the mouse to Jake. Then he thought, 'Somethings really wrong! I cant stand to see Jake this way!' He thought, "Jake, please tell me whats wrong, please I cant bare to see you so sad." Tall Star put his paw on Jake's paw, and his tail on Jake's tail, "Its just, there's a lot on my mind." Jake said, "Just sleep it off, Jake." Tall Star commented, "Fine." Jake rolled his eyes jokingly, "Shh, just go to sleep." Tall Star put his head on Jake's paws and drifted off..... "Heh.." Jake sighed and put his head on Tall Stars, and had a peaceful sleep.
