Dave's POV
Now me and Everest are raising puppies together. Im glad im helping her maybe will help me for when I'm really become a dad or if I ever.
Everest- You mind hunting mice Dave?
Dave- Sure
It was still partly fall but winter was going to be here soon. Me and Everest both need to find food. I had caught mice and was running to my cave when Duchess stopped me.
Duchess- You don't need that much good like 6 mice?
Dave- It's not just for me alright
Duchess- Who's it for
I really didn't want to have to tell my sister but I guess she needs to know.
Dave- This is for puppies and someone else
Duchess- You had puppies
Dave- Everest is taking care of the Queen's puppies and I'm helping
Duchess- Oh well have fun
She is not the best sister but at least I have. And with that I walked away.
Dave- I got six mice
Everest- At least the puppies are big enough to eat mice
I laughed
Everest- Oak is starting to walk o. His fours just wobbling
Dave- The other two?
Everest- They haven't started to wobble or walk but give them time
The puppies are cute. One looks like me Ainslee. Her fur is also messed up except her eyes are a soft blue. Sugars fur is frizzy she has green eyes like Everest. Oak he had soft brown fur that was a lot more messy then mine. His eyes were yellow.
Dave- Winter is coming Everest
Everest- I know. Hey would you mind staying here with them I'm hunting
Dave- Alright
She left. Oak kept trying to whisper something. Not sure what but he was ahead of his sister's . They can't wobble or whisper. Then it happened
Oak- C- cold- col- cold
He said cold! A weird first word but you know what will take. Soon not long after like 45 minuets Everest returned.
Everest- 8 mice
Dave- Nice so hear this Oak do it
Oak- Co- cold
Everest- He can speak!
Dave- Yeah he says c-cold all the time
She looked really happy. I am too even though I'm not this real wolves father I'm happy yet I feel guilty. I wish king Echo could be here yo see his soon speak but he can't. Him and queen Honey are way to busy and have no time for puppies.
Dave- But his sister's are behind
Everest- They will catch up but it's ok
Soon it was nightfall. Everyone was sleeping in the cave while I was outside. I was outside . I sitting on the edge of a cliff staring at the moonlight. Was it right to like to these puppies about there mom and dad. Should we tell them. I was brought out of my thoughts by Everest.
Everest- Hey watcha doin'
She looked so tired
Dave- If your tired go to sleep
Everest- Can't Oak won't stop saying c- cold you have anything I can do about I can do about that
I thought about it.
Dave- Snuggle up with him
Everest- Thanks
I ran to up to her.
Dave- Wait
Everest- What is it?
Dave- Are we going to tell the puppies about there mom and dad?
Everest- No why?
We were silent
Dave- I think they should know
Everest- No Dave they could get sad and they will think we liked to them.
Dave- Those are exactly reasons to tell them!
Everest- We if anyone's telling them it will be you!
I walked back inside with Everest and if she wants me to be the one tell those puppies the truth I will. I feel asleep I woke up to whispering in my ear.
Oak- C- cold
He pointed his paw in the direction of outside and it was lightly snowing. I got up and put him by Everest. I need to find more.mkfe. I came back to the cave panting.
Oak- Cold
Dave- Yes it is cold
Good need is Ainslee started moving a bit. Yet sugar she hasn't started but she needs time to start. I decided more hunting would be good to store up mice for when we need it. I left and go about 15 more mice good they aren't all gone. That's 29 mice. I hope we all have a good winter.
