I grew accustomed to going down to the lake on Fridays, it became routine.
Monday-school
Tuesday-school
Wednesday-school

Friday-the lake
It had been months since I met the guys, there was the f-boy Owen, and the geek Taylor, and the girl shy Joey. We all knew each other, and this weekend was no different. Except this weekend was going to top off all other weekends, you know why? Because Taylor's parents rented out the lake house a little over a mile away, which automatically means a fun time and way to many stupid decisions. I was sitting on my bed with my music blaring when I got a call from Owen scowling as I picked up.

"Babes, how easy would it be to sneak some booze from your house?"

"...Owen... my parents don't drink, so pretty hard. Oh and stop calling me that."

"Stop calling you what?"

"...babes"

"Alright, ...babe"

I mentally cursed him out as I heard his response. Not even bothering to say anything I hung up and continued shoving clothes in my old summer camp bag, wanting to at least be half packed by the time Taylor got here to pick me up, my plans were ruined as I heard the all the familiar car horn. I swear I could hear the music he was playing from inside my house. With Taylor being such a nerd most people don't expect him to like music but honestly Taylor probably knows every song to ever exist in the world backwards in Spanish, which always makes me wonder why out of all the songs in the world he had such bad taste. He rolled down the window and shouted something about how we had to hurry up to pick everyone else up. Which did little to effect me, but I picked up my speed and slow jogged to the car door as I pulled it open and slid into the passenger seat after luging my duffel into the trunk and we took off all to fast for my liking, but we got to Owens house twice as fast as I expected, which I am not sure is a good thing. But a overly hot guys followed behind him so who was I to complain.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Owen" I said all to excitedly waiting for him to introduce his friend.

But he said nothing as they both got in. Which only frustrated me, if he would have given me a heads up I would have at least made an effort to comb out the mess of a ponytail I had halfheartedly strangled my hair into. But there was no time for lost causes so I made an effort to try to get some small talk out of mystery guy of the upper west backseat.

"Hey Owen, if you were going to change your name what would you change it to?" I know, stupid question but in my head his friend might say something about how he would change his name from his current name to something else. Two for one, learn his name and get a sense of his style. It did not work out that way. Owen listed off practically an entire baby name book, but all I got out of mystery dude was a couple of chuckles at Owens comments. And soon after I gave up.

The sound of gravel crunching beneath the car as we rolled into the lake houses driveway pulled me out of my short nap and soon after i was drowsily pulling my suitcase behind me as we walked in. But my sleepiness wore of as soon as I saw the interior, it was absolutely gorgeous. From the soft white rugs the masked the cherry red hardwood to the cream colored walls and marble countertops.

At the top of the staircase was a very devious looking Jade. Which was never good, but I let it pass as she came to greet us all and rub it in our faces that she had first pick of the bedrooms. Which didn't bother me because we all had to share rooms and me and Jade agreed earlier that we would sleep in the same room. Everyone else looked pissed off though.

Joey arrived later than the rest of us and took it upon himself to make his way to the kitchen and make some hot pockets while we all argued. Which sucked for him because the smell almost immediately brought all attention off of Jade and onto the man who made himself hot pockets and in the words of Taylor "left his friend all alone to starve with nothing to eat except our own fictional food of insanity" Owen didn't understand a word Taylor had just said but grunted with agreement as they all turned to Joey with murder in their eyes which caused him to forfeit the hot pocket which left up for debate who got it now.

I payed no attention to the murder trials until Owen shouted the most amazing thing.

"Xander you are an unbiased outsider. Who do you think should get the hot pocket?"

Why you ask is the most amazing thing? Because now I know his name.
