Emerald's POV:

"GIRLS IT'S TIME TO GO!" I yelled loud enough so the girls could hear me. "BUT WE DON'T WANNA GO!" they yelled back swimming deeper into the water.

Ugh, I can never win with these girls and Anthony isn't here to help me out. He had to go had to go coz' Suzan "randomly" showed up and wanted him to take her to dinner or something, whatever.

"FINE 15 MORE MINUTES" I yelled to them. Sighing I sit down in the sand picking up my book "Divergent". I'm really not all that into romance stuff like other girls. I'd much rather read action packed books like 'Divergent'.

"Hey E?" Elyssa questions me with a cute little puppy face, "Will you please come play with us?" Laughing I answer "The girls put you up to this didn't they?" She hesitates before answering, "Yeah, but their are some weird boys messing around near us." I close my book then set it down next to me. Looking around to spot the weird boys thinking it was just an excuse, but to my surprise I spot 4 boys who look, in fact, weird.

Theirs 2 blondes, 1 dirty blond, and 1 brunet all splashing each other and yelling out profanity's. They look about my age, possibly a bit older.

Sighing I look up to the youngest of my sisters and smile "Yeah, I'll come and play. But..."

"But what?!?" she asks smiling with eyes full of excitement

"But... You better run!" I quickly stand up, "Ill give you a 10 second head start!" She then takes off "10, 9, 87654321!" I scream and run full speed into the water.

As I'm running toward my sisters the dirty blond boy stumbles in front of me. 'Shit shit shit' I try to stop but I can't, so I close my eyes. We collide and both fall into the shallow ish water with him on top of me supported by his arms on either side of my head.

I slowly open my eyes to see a dimpled smile and two hazel eyes looking down at me. "Hi" he giggles "Umm Hi, shi-oot I'm so sorry about that." I say looking away blushing in embarrassment realizing what position we're in. He just chuckles and gets up off of me then pulls me up to my feet. "It's okay darling, I'm Ashton." I laugh a bit then wince at the shooting pain in my head. "I'm Emerald." He looks at me with sympathy, "Are you alright? Should I go get you something for that?"

"No, no I'm fine. Umm, it was nice meeting you. I've gotta get to my sisters." I explain pointing toward them, "And it looks like you've got some friends to get back to so..." I nod my head in the direction of the boys falling over laughing. I turn around to leave but he grabs my forearm and questions, "What you aren't gonna let me introduce you to my mates?" He gives me a fake puppy face to try to cox me over. I just laugh, "No I better go" I then hold out my hand for a proper goodbye. "Don't you think we're past the handshake thing?" He raises a brow. I think for a moment then realize he's teasing me and we both end up laughing. "Bye Ash it was nice meeting you"

"Bye Emerald same to you."
