The second bell starting ringing right as the last couple of students started scattering in through the classroom door, two of those students included Andrea and Claire. Around the room you could see kids sitting on desks with others talking about their summer vacations, the latest drama, or even random things while waiting for a teacher to emerge. Andrea and Claire made their way through the maze of kids around them trying to find their seats. In the back of the classroom, a couple of students had already occupied desks.

"Move your ass Jason."

A tall lanky kid sat on the desk while talking to what appeared to be his friend that sat directly in front of him.

"I don't see a name on this chair Hamlin so find another seat."

Andrea tapped impatiently on the back of the chair where there was a name etched into the back. Along with her name, there seemed to be something else. When you peered closer the whole thing read:

Andrea Hamlin

MY chair bitches

"You know, I'm honestly really surprised they still haven't gotten rid of that chair"

Claire piped in from the next seat over. Andrea shot her a glare that stated she wasn't helping so Claire slid into her seat and looked off into the distance. Andrea shot her glance at Jason who was still sitting on the desk.

"Chop, chop let's go! We don't have all day Jason. Piss off."

He rolled his eyes and slipped off the desk into one across from where his friend was sitting. Andrea happily slid into her desk as a woman with long dark brown hair entered the classroom. Students were still talking as she appeared to be gathering her notes from her bag and scattering them neatly across her desk. As she started writing her name on the chalkboard, she spoke.

"Good morning class, please take your seats and quite down so we can begin for today."

The classroom hushed almost immediately besides some whispers as they took their seats, the only one who seemed to not be paying attention was Andrea who was fussing around with a notebook she acquired out of her backpack.

"My name is Ms. Kaplan, I'll be your new English teacher for the rest of the year. I know a lot of you were expecting to have Mr. Young again, but he's decided to take a leave of absence due to recent health issues."

Across the classroom, groans erupted in disbelief.

"Settle down. I know it's not what any of you anticipated or expected, but let's all try to manage and make it through the year shall we?"

Andrea shifted her eyes on the new teacher at this point and was observing her lips. She wasn't making out what Ms. Kaplan was saying exactly, her thoughts wondered at how soft her lips really could be. She was a very attractive woman and that was easy to see.

"As I call out your name, please raise your hand and state that you're here so we can get the ball rolling."

"I know something else I could get rolling."

Ms. Kaplan turned around and glared about the room to see who had made such a repulsive comment. In the back of the room, Andrea hid her smirk underneath her shirt collar while still fussing with her notebook.

"Is there anything you'd like to say?"

She didn't need to look up to know that the teacher was glaring right at her, and her classmates staring in disbelief. Andrea shifted her eyes right into Ms. Kaplan's and almost as if she was challenging her, Andrea spoke up.

"Actually, yes ma'am I'd like to say something."

A moment of silence entered the room.

"Well..? Speak up if you have something to say, I'm waiting. You're just wasting your own class time, not mine."

"I said, I know something ELSE I could get rolling."

A toothy grin emerged from behind her lips as she cocked an eyebrow up. Claire reached over and punched Andrea's arm nonchalantly stating that she fucked up already within a whole three minutes of sitting in class.

"And you are?"

Ms. Kaplan glanced down at her attendance sheet. Almost as if she had answered her own question, she stated:

"You must be Andrea Hamlin. I've heard a lot about you already Ms. Hamlin, see me after class."

I'll be looking forward to it Ms. Kaplan. I've got you right where I want you.
