(I'm so excited for this whole planned thing I have)
He tries to deepen the kiss but I pull away. I smirk, then jump on him and pull him underwater.
The guys are cheering and of course, Ray is SCREAMING Mavin shit. God, he's an idiot. I resurface and Gavin's face is literally the color of a tomato. Not gonna lie, it's kinda cute. I swim towards him and the rest of the group and loop my arm around Gav's waist.
"I bet none of you were expecting that, especially Gav." I say to the still in shock group.
"Okay, can someone explain what just happened or..." Geoff trails off.
"I don't know how stupid you think I am. Anytime he looked at me, bam instant blush. The way all of you look at Gav when I'm around, and Ray confirmed it when he 'coughed' last night. I'm also pretty sure you knew something was up when I almost destroyed Miles. Of course as I predicted, Gavin melted into the kiss. Also, how long were you guys not gonna say anything? I'm just curious." Gavin remains frozen, still everyone's stunned.
"Uh, Michael can I tell you something?" Ray asks, semi-seriously.
"Go for it, Ray."
I've been meaning to, CANNONBALL!" He jumps into the pool, glasses and all. The other three follow suit, immediately breaking all tension.
We splash around like assholes for half an hour, basically when Ray and Gavin whine about being cold.
"But Michael! It's really freezing!" Gavin whines for the millions time.
"But Micoo!" Jack teases, causing Gav to give him one of his smug nostril flare smirks.
"Okay, fine I'll get out with you idiots. I gotta grab towels for all of you anyway." I peel off my layers until I'm down to boxers then head to the closet for six towels.
Right before I open the glass sliding door I notice all five of them, faces pressed on the glass with an idiotic expression. I have no clue what to do with these assholes. Ryan opens the door for me and the five stand in a half-circle laughing.
"HA HA you guys are sooo funny. Just take a fucking towel." I throw each of them a towel, hitting Geoff and Gav in the face.
"So, what do you guys wanna do?" Ray asks while running the towel through his hair.
"Isn't there a park down the street?" Ryan chimes in.
"Yeah, should we go?" Everyone agrees. "Lets do it!" We all rush inside. Gavin pokes me in the stomach, which surprisingly hurts.
"Gavin you're an asshole..."
(Eight weeks later)
(3rd Person POV)
The group of five; Geoff, Ryan, Jack, Ray and Michael sat at their usual lunch table talking about their classes.
"Uh, what happened this morning?" Ryan asked what the whole group wanted to know.
Well, here's the story from both points of view, to be fair.. A kid named Dan transferred from England. He seemed like a nice guy, wanted to be in the Army or Military some day. Gavin, growing up near where Dan was from thought they would be great friends. Coincidentally, Gavin was asked to show Dan around the building and take him to classes.
"Weird to move here a week before graduation, don't you think?" Gav asks.
"Well, my Dad is in the Army so we move a ton. I'm used to never having friends because one second I'm here, the next, gone. Like a distant memory. I do wanna be in the forces some day. I just won't have kids until I'm done serving, 'cause this sucks." Gavin likes Dan's story, he has always been one to sit with his Granddad and listen to war tales.
"That's top. Well, not the moving part, I meant about serving and stuff. Where have you lived before?" Gav listened to Dan's stories from his first classes, through lunch and even when they discovered they ride the same bus.
"Well B," Within the short time they've known each other, they already have nicknames, courtesy of Gavin's inability to talk, "-I think it'd be cool to have your picture in tons of yearbooks around the world. I'd make my quotes one word, so that if you put them in order it's a fact about myself." Dan laughs at yet another one of Gavin's silly theory's, then gets up to leave the bus.
"Well then, I'll see you tomorrow... at the bleachers?" Gav nods and waves to his new friend. He thinks about the cool facts Dan told him when he remembers Michael. Where was he today? Gavin decides to send him a text.
'Where were you today, missed you!' -G
'I woke up feeling like utter shit. Should be better tomorrow!' -M
'Aw, my little Michael was sick!' -G
'I can fucking hear you mispronounce my name, goddamnit Gav.'-M
'I have a surprise for you, tomorrow at the bleachers!'-G
Michael thought it was something along the lines of a makeout session, but boy was he wrong.
