Quinn was exhausted. In fact, the entire Ilvermorny quidditch team were.

It was the first day of October and all the quidditch teams had been training non-stop since the start of term, everyone wanted to win.

But, today was their first proper day off. It was the weekend, and it was the first day where third years and above were allowed to go to Hogsmeade.

Although Quinn had technically already been to the local village with James, she had never seen outside the dark honeydukes basement. She was excited to be leaving the castle with her Ilvermorny friends, but felt a sort of ache in her chest as she missed James.

Her and James had met up without fail at least once a week. They organised this by casually passing scrap pieces of parchment  in the hallways, during classes and even the risky dinner hall. The parchment often contained details about their next meeting, but sometimes was just something random to made the other person laugh.

It was nice.

The only downside was that it was completely secret. She couldn't talk about him with her friends, that sucked.

Quinn, Eli, Tia and Faith all walked calmly through the streets of Hogsmeade. It was so peaceful. And even though it was October now, the September heat was still there, which Quinn loved.

They had gotten there early because they knew there was going to be loads of kids going and they wanted to be there when they wouldn't get trampled.

But as they walked through the streets, Quinn didn't fail to notice the Hogwarts students already filling up various shops, obviously having the same idea as them. Among the students a certain James Potter caught her eye, and suddenly she couldn't stop herself from grinning.

After a moment, she turned to her friends and quickly signed, I need to go look in the bookstore for something. Can I meet you guys in that place over there?

Sure, be careful though, Eli signed.

Yeah don't get lost, Tia added.

I like how much faith you have in me, Quinn signed before walking away with an almost-silent, breathy giggle.

Why was she so excited? She couldn't actually be falling for this guy. They had only known each other for a month, it was ridiculous! But then again, she just couldn't get him out of her head. His eyes, his lips, they way that when he smiled his whole face lit up, the way he could never fail to make her laugh...

Yeah, Quinn had fallen for James Potter. Hard.

When she entered the bookstore she looked for the 'Language and Communication' aisle, according to James that was the most deserted aisle in the shop. Apparently it literally repelled people away, that's how boring it was (James' words, not hers).

She wandered past the long shelves helplessly, not seeing the aisle she needed. She walked past the 'Muggle Fiction' section, the 'History of the Development of Wizadry' section, the 'Cures using Potions and Herbology' section - all of which sounded mind-numbingly boring - but found no 'Language and Communication' aisle.

She was lost.

Of course this happens to her. As she kept walking through the store her heart began beating more heavily in her chest, what if she was late and so James had just left? What if this isn't even the right store? What if James was just pranking her and he doesn't actually like her?

And then someone tapped her on the back. She turned round quickly, only to let out a breath of relief at the sight of James.

James smirked and took her hand, leading her through the store and up some stairs. Ohh, so it was upstairs. They walked through the deserted upper level until they reached the 'Language and Communication' aisle. Bingo.
