Cheryl groaned as she woke up to a whiny stomach as something came up. She ran to the bathroom quickly, making sure not to make a huge mess her mother would yell at later.
"Cheryl!" Penelope ran up to her room, making sure she was ready for school. "Why aren't you dressed yet?!"
She washes her face before glaring up at her terrible excuse of a mother. "I'm sick" She replies softly, earning a growl from Penelope. "I guess you'll have to stay home then."
Cheryl went back in her bed and hid under the covers, letting out a small sigh. Her eyes widen before searching for her phone as she checked the date appeared in white letters under the time.
With that, missing texts and calls from Toni, but of course a few other notifs but that didn't matter. It was Valentine's Day and of course, she had to be sick.
"I have to go to work, but I'll be back later." Penelope yells up at Cheryl, but she knew she'd take forever to get back home. As soon as she left, Cheryl called Toni, hoping she would pick up. "Cher, where are you? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just sick that's all.." She replies sadly, a few tears falling down her cheeks. "Babe, don't feel bad it's not your fault." Toni reassures her softly as a smile formed upon Cheryl's lips. "I just wanna be there with you today." She admits before Toni comes up with an idea. "Then you can." A laugh echoed through the phone from the redhead. "You're crazy." She says, making the serpent smirk. "Crazy for you, so I'm coming over." Toni tells her before hanging up.
'Damn she's crazy!' Cheryl thought as she hopped out of her bed lazily. Once she made it over to her closet, she picked out something more comfortable and cute to wear before Toni's arrival. The doorbell rang throughout the house and footsteps quickly made their way downstairs, inching towards the door. "I brought your favorites."
Toni broke the silence between them while they just stared at each other in the doorway. A small giggle came from Cheryl as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "You remembered?" She smiles softly, opening the door wider for Toni to walk in. "How could I forget?" The redhead's visitor replies as she made her way over to the kitchen, getting some plates for the food.
"You didn't have to do all of this...I-"
"Deserve it. You really do, especially after all you've done for me." Toni cuts her off, but didn't fail at making Cheryl blush. Toni smirks as she makes her way over with two plates of food in her hands. "What did I do to deserve you?" The serpent gazed up at her happily as she smiled. "Everything."
Cheryl stared at the serpent with heart eyes. "I need to show you something." She whispers quietly, but loud enough for Toni's ears. As she got up from her seat, Toni followed her path upstairs. Cheryl hurriedly went over to her drawer, searching for Toni's gift. "There you are." She walks back over to Toni, her arms behind her back. "What's that?" Cheryl reveals the beautifully wrapped box, handing it over to Toni. "A gift for Ma Chérie."
Both of them sat down on the bed as Toni opened up her girlfriend's gift. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw what was inside. "Babe, you shouldn't have."
"But I did." Cheryl says with a wide smile as a giggle came from Toni's lips. She took out the expensive piece of jewelry, placing it around Toni's neck. "Mi Amor, it's beautiful." She turns around, pecking her lips gently. "Happy Valentine's Day TT."
"Happy Valentine's Day Cher."
