JUNE’S POV
Benedict and I were skipping towards his car. Literally skipping. We were both so happy to be in each other’s company we couldn’t help it. This moment was probably one of the happiest of my life. I know it sounds cliché to say, but I don’t care. Holding hands and skipping with an amazing man on our way to a surprise filled morning was one of the best things to happen to me.
We stopped skipping when we reached his car. Benedict ran to my door and opened it for me. As I went to get in he bowed and I couldn’t help but start laughing again. Once I was in my seat he closed my door and slid over the hood the get to his side. When he got in, he turned to me and winked.
“Well that was rather smooth!” I couldn’t help but smirk when I saw him wiggle his eyebrows to my comment.
“Would you expect any less from me? Oh! I just remembered.” Benedict turned towards the back of the car and grabbed a basket from the seat. It was filled with an assortment of muffins.
“Muffins?”
“I thought I would bring you breakfast… Do you not like muffins? Crap. I probably should have asked what you wanted for breakfast. If you hate muffins we can always-“
I cut him off by giving him a small peck on the lips. When I pulled away he was smiling. “Muffins are great. Thank you for being so thought full.”
“It was no problem at all June. Anything for you.” We leaned into each other and kissed again.
When we pulled apart Benedict started the car. “Are you ready for an adventure!?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be!”
“Then we’re off!”
Benedict and I had been driving for about 15 minutes. I hadn’t had any idea where he was going but I know had the idea that he was heading towards Central London. I started to worry. I didn’t want him to feel obligated to go in public with me. I knew paparazzi were everywhere and I didn’t want to be the reason they pestered him. Plus I knew that with his career, he may not want our relationship to be made public.
“Ben?”
“June?”
“Where are we going?”
“I told you, it’s a surprise.”
“I know but we are heading towards Central London and I know you probably don’t want to be noticed with me. I understand that your job doesn’t give you a lot of privacy, so I am totally fine with just staying home or something.”
Benedict’s hands tightened on the wheel and he looked at me. “I honestly don’t care who notices us. I care about you and I will do anything for this relationship. I know things may be difficult, but I am determined to be able to do every day, couple things with you.”
I leaned over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “You’re such a gentleman.”
Ben smiled and loosened his grip on the wheel. He really was a sweet guy. When I was with him I always became 10 times as happy. I was starting to think I did the same to him. We drove a few more minutes before pulling into a parking lot. I knew where we were as soon as he parked the car, and I was bursting with excitement.
“I love St. James Park!” I undid my seatbelt and turned so I was facing towards him. He turned the car’s engine off and turned to meet my gaze.
