Chapter 5

"You don't have to answer or even pick now. You have all the time in the world." Dark said and stood. You looked at him. 

"How much time do I really have?" You asked. Dark smiled. 

"Again. All the time in the world. You could date someone, even marry them, but upon your death, you will have to make your choice." He said. You nodded and stood. 

"I have to go to work and call my mom to let her know I'm OK." You said. Dark nodded and led you down some stairs and out the front door. 

"It's not far. Just down the road if your work place." Dark said. You smiled and began to walk but stopped and turn to face Dark, who was watching you leave.

"Dark. I'm off early today. Would you like to get dinner with me and get caught up? I should have an answer by then." You said. Dark smiled and bowed his head once. 

"I would love to." He said. You smiled, waved at him and ran to your work. Once you entered and clocked in, you saw your boss waiting for you. 

"(y/n), come to my office." He said and walked away. You groaned and followed him. Once in, he told you to close the door and sit, which you did. 

"(y/n), You left your car here last night, you know my rules about that." He said. You sighed. 

"I know, I know. No over night parking because then others will think this it a public parking place but let me explain." You said. He pinched the bridge of his nose.

"(y/n), This isn't the first time." He said. You started to get angry. 

"You mean the time I was so sick I passed out and tried to call in but you wouldn't let me or the time I slipped and fall and was rushed to the hospital because i broke my arm?" You asked rudely. He just nodded. 

"Fine. Your fired." He said. You stood and walked out, tears coming down. Your boss was always a jerk to you and you couldn't do anything about it. He had a three strikes, your out thing and you couldn't sue him for that. You went to your car and drove him. 

"Mom." You called out. She came down and hugged you.

"(y/n)! You never came home last night what happened?" She asked. You smiled. 

"I ran into a friend and they helped me when i felt sick. I'm fine now but I was just fired." You said and explanation why. Your mom smiled. 

"Good. I always hated you there. Too many times you came home crying because of what costumers have said." She said and kissed your forehead. You smiled and went upstairs. You took a quick shower and threw your old work clothes away before going online for a new job. You then heard a knock and turned, seeing your mom.  

"(y/n). You have a young man here. He says he's going to take you on a date." Your mother said. You looked at the time and saw that five hours passed. You stood and went down, seeing Dark in your door way. 

"So, who is this handsome fella?" Your mother asked. Dark smiled. 

"My name is Damian ma'am." He said, taking her hand and kissed the top of it. Your mother smiled. 

"Such a gentleman. Have fun and please, be careful with my daughter. She's all I have." Your mom said as you closed the door. You looked at Dark. 

"Why didn't she see that you  had gray skin?" You asked. He smiled. 

"Humans can't see my true form like you can. A gift i gave to you when we first met." Dark said. You smiled and walked to a small cafe. You both sat after getting your favorite drink.
