Your eyes opened again and you saw a heart monitor. It was making a steady beeping. You turned your head and saw both your mother and Dark. Your mother was sleeping on a cot and Dark was asleep in the chairs. You looked down and saw the call button. You moved and pressed it. A male nurse came in.
"Your awake. How do you feel? Do you have any pain?" He asked. You shook your head slowly.
"No, no pain but I feel a bit sick." You answered. He nodded.
"That could be because of the medication. Let me get the doctor and see what he can do for you." The nurse said and left. You looked over and saw Dark was now awake. You smiled and he got up, walking over to you.
"Hey you." Dark said. You Reached out and he took your hand in his as he sat closer to you.
"Hey." You said. Dark cupped your cheek.
"Your lucky to be alive. When they found you, you had no heart beat but when they took you into the ambulance, you cried out in pain and discovered you had a faint heartbeat." Dark explained. You looked shocked. He smiled.
"The bullet missed your heart by a hair." He said. You wanted to cry but the doctor came in.
"Miss (y/n), If I may call you that, I was told you felt sick." He said. You nodded. He walked over and placed a bag on the IV hook, hooking it up.
"That could because of the surgery or the medication, both can cause it for some people but this should do the trick. Call if it doesn't." He said and left. You watched him leave before looking at Dark.
"They removed the bullet. Shockingly, it was in one piece, not that common for the type of bullet used. God must really like you." Dark said. You shook your head.
"It wasn't god. It was Lucifer." You said. Dark looked confused.
"Lucifer, why would my boss help you?" Dark asked. You looked away.
"I'm sorry. I did lie to you before." You said. Dark looked even more confused and you explained what had happened between you and Lucifer. Dark sat back in the chair.
"Wow." Was all he said, You nodded. He looked at you and smiled.
"I wonder why he really saved you?" Dark asked out loud. You shrugged.
"I can tell you." Lucifer said. You looked and saw he was leaning on the door frame.
