"Rose, hurry up."
My best friend, Elle, screamed from downstairs. We were going to the fair tonight and she was in an absolute rush.
"I'm coming. Lemme just grab my phone."
I ran downstairs, gave my mom a kiss on the cheek and went out to Elle's car. I hopped in and to my surprise my other two friends, Frankie and Josh, were already in the car.
"Hey Rose. Omfg you look sooo cute!" Frankie winked at me. She was in love with fashion and just was in love whenever we actually attempted to look cute. Josh was just listening to music with his headphones in and didn't even realize me and Elle were in the car.
"Um hello? Earth to Josh." Frankie waves her phone in his face. He pushed her phone to the side and glanced up. His face lit up when he saw us in the car.
"Oh hey Rose. Nice er- shirt." I appreciated the compliment even though he wasn't really looking at me. He was staring at Elle. It was pretty obvious that he liked her. He has since the 5th grade. She just was totally clueless and never noticed.
"Thanks Joshie." I smiled in his direction.
"You guys ready to head out or what?" Elle looked at all all of us.
"Yeahhh!" We all screamed in unison.
The Fair
We finally got to the fair and through the line.
"Damn that line was long asfk. I bought fell asleep." Elle said while pulling her bag back on. I'm not gonna lie, the line was super long. I guess that's what we get for going too late. We walk over to the ticket booth and get our wristbands. Last year when we all went, we only got tickets instead of wristbands and we ran out hella fast. Elle didn't have a car at the time and her parents weren't gonna pick us up for another three hours so we basically just walked around the remainder of the time. Well after that happened, we swore to save our money and be 100% prepared this go around. So we did. Plus Elle got a car for her 18th birthday, so that made a hell of a difference this year too.
"Okay so what you guys wanna do first? Food? Rides? Prize booth?" Elle's eyes lit after she said prize booth. Me, her, and Frankie LOVED getting teddy bears and whatnot.
"Let's do rides first. As much as I want a teddy bear right now, we should go to as much rides as we can before more people take up the lines." I take her hand and we all go to our first ride.
2 hours later
After a while on rides we finally decided to get something to eat. As we were sitting I saw someone hella familiar.
"Hey Franks?"
"Mhmm?" Food splattered all on the table.
"First off ew. Second, doesn't that guy look familiar to you"? She looked where I was pointing and dropped her nacho.
"Omfggg!! Omg! OH MY FUCKING G." She started freaking out like crazy.
"Bro what's your issue dog?" Josh and Elle looked at Frankie concerned. Then it hit me. I know why she was screaming. I know who that is.
