  "y/n?"

you turned around to see jon, his wrinkled navy blue suit fitting him so well. you looked him up and down, falling in love with him all over again.

"how do i look?" he asked, face turning cherry red.

"like the perfect husband." you smiled, and he smiled his perfect smile.

"not yet love. not yet." he whispered, leaning in and kissing your lips.

you stand there for awhile after he pulls away. you look around the living room of the home. zombies aren't going to ruin it this time. no ones going to ruin it this time.

"i'd better go. i love you." jon said.

  "i love you too."

you walked up to you and jon's shared room, and saw the cream wedding dress on your bed. it took three months to find this. but it was all worth it.

"if only bryce could see this." you whispered to yourself, smiling gently.

you took off your shirt and pants, and slipped on the dress. you played with the ruffles and fell in love with it. today was your day.

  "who told you he couldn't?"

you turned around and saw ryan standing in the doorway. you smiled at him, and he smiled back.

"i wish he could walk me down the aisle." your head fell a bit.

"i could. un-unless you don't want me to then that's-"

"of course you can." you smiled.

  "okay." he returned the smile.

"okay."

"okay."

"get out of here dork!" you said, playfully laughing and pushing him out the door.

you walked back over and looked at your dress. wrinkled, old, dusty, and definitely faded and not sparkling white, but you loved it.

you slipped on your dress after taking off your clothes, and put on some black converse, which were the only shoes you had. you walked down the stairs, knowing jon was out.

"y/n!" marcel yelled, and ran and hugged you. you laughed against his chest.

"hi!"

"you look so amazing! you're all grown up! ugh.." he took a deep breath in, and wiped away fake tears.

"oh stop." you laughed, and punched him in the shoulder lightly.

"weddings not for a bit. jon's not back yet. what are you going to do til then?" you scrunched your face.

"i'm not so su-" you paused for a moment.

"i know what i'm going to do. where's jon?" you asked marcel.

"deep in the woods with tyler and luke, doing lord knows what." you both laughed.

you smiled at marcel. you two stood there for a minute, just looking, just wondering. you walked over to marcel and gave him a hug. you two broke away, and you saw marcel had a tear in his eye. you put and hand in his face and moved your finger over his cheek. you kissed him on the forehead, before walking out of the house.

you walked around back to look at the crosses. 6 lay in the yard. grass grew over the patches where some were buried, and flowers grew around the crosses. you walked around each of them, placing a hand on the top.

"how i wish you could see me. i know you're looking down on me," you looked up to the sky, "i miss you."

you grew out of the nightmares. you never see them anymore. it's like your mind slowly fixed itself, and everything is fine. everything is just fine.
