"g, man do you have feelings for mia again?" johnson asked, we were both sat our local coffee shop near our house. i bit my lip not knowing nhow to answer, i mean i didn't have to tell him for him to know that i am starting to regain past feelings for mia. "you don't even need to ask, but i'm not going to force feelings that she probably doesn't even feel" i sigh, sipping on my ice coffee. his eyes lit up and his lips curved into a cheeky grin, "gilinsky, i wouldn't be so sure she doesn't share the same feelings man" he encourages and i perk up at the sound of this. see she and i ended on good terms, very much the opposite of madison and i, as she had cheated on me. and when you end on good terms, you tend to always have a place in your heart where your old feelings remain. "what do you think i should do?" I ask curious on a way to try win mia's heart back. "take her out, spend more time with her like you used too, make her realise her feelings again and then let nature take its course" he advices and nodded with a grin on my lips.

my cheeks were sore from smiling too much. johnson had a smirk playing on his lips, "it's either you won the lottery or mia just agreed to whatever you suggested" he teased and i playfully gave him the finger, as we both got up and walked our way back to my car. i couldn't believe she agreed to go on a date with me tonight, guess i had to make sure tonight doesn't fail.

i hope what i was wearing was ok. i told mia i would pick her up at 8 since she only finished work at 7, so i made a reservation at one of our favourite restaurants then a late night movie of her choice. it almost felt like this was our very first date all over again. i spray my favourite cologne on and my keys off my dresser and rush out my room.
"have fun gilinsky! but not too much fun!" sammy winked and i laughed leaving the house, on the way to get my girl. i was so nervous that tonight would not be what she had wished for or not up to her standard, that my insides were doing somersaults. but if she is the same old mia, then tonight is everything she had wished for, a very chill low key night just the two of us. with all my contemplating and thoughts running trough my mind i had just arrived at mia's driveway. i take a few moments to breathe and compose myself before knocking on their front door.
the door opened to show the most beautiful girl i have ever laid eyes on. mia was standing there in front of him with her big smile and her long hair flowing, dressed in a oversized red jumper and ripped denim jeans. my breath hitched, "hey jack!" she greets with a smile, exiting her house and closing the door behind her. "hi mi, you look absolutely gorgeous!" i compliment taking her hand in mine leading her to my jeep. "thank you, not too bad yourself jacky" she thanks sitting in the passenger seat and i closed the door behind her and run to the drivers side speeding off to our first destination.
i opened the door for her letting her out of my jeep, "thank you jack! omg paulo's pizzeria, you remembered this was our favourite place!" she exclaimed excitedly hugging me. i engulf her small hands in mine leading us both towards the door. she was pleased with the restaurant and you could tell from her big smile that is displayed on her face. "of course mi, we used to come here all the time" i grinned opening the door for her. "big gentlemen tonight" she joked, and i laughed, "always have been" i replied. we grabbed a table for two near the back, our spot.

the movie was amazing, we both laughed till we cried. we were in fits of laughter. walking out of the cinema now reminded me of old times where we would always come here for dates, being two broke teens in high school. "good movie choice jack!" she praised typing something on her phone quickly, "i am still the best movie picker out of us two" i teased, she crossed her arms, "just because you don't like romantic movies don't make my choices bad!" she argued with a cute pout on her lips. god, she was beautiful. her cheeks flushed red, "thanks jack, you are not too bad yourself" she shyly compliments, shit i said that out loud. i intertwined our fingers and led her to my jeep. tonight had been the best night i have had in a while.
