"remember when skate, sammy and luh got caught smoking on school grounds behind the bleachers" johnson recalled a time from out past, as we all are gathered round the fire. "ok, we thought since it was like school parade day, no teachers were going to notice" defended derek, everyone laughed in response. "you dumbasses there were more teachers on duty!" exclaimed simone scolding the three and skate gave her the finger. it was simone, florence, johnson, skeez, sam, derek, skate, gilinsky and i by the fire, in front of a large projector which johnson had set up for us. it was almost like something out of tumblr. out of pure coincidence i was sat on the bean bag next to jack's, it's just because everyone already bagged their spots.
"ok, movie suggestions?" sam asked, flicking through netflix, and everyone shouted out their preferences.
"moana"
"harry potter"
"the notebook"
"step brothers"
which of course led to many disagreements, then everyone turned to face me considering i hadn't provided my preference, but also i was always the mediator of arguments in highschool. "well, no to moana, harry potter is great but like too long, the notebook is sad and step brothers is funny. i choose superbad!" i announce, choosing, well not biased or anything jack's favourite movie. i think he knows i did it too because he a smile playing on his lips and his hand went to my thigh, and a blush creeped onto my cheeks. "ok not fair! you just picked that movie because its gilinsky's favourite movie! moana was the better option" simmo cried, and i just roll my eyes, "no not just because of that, it's also a funny movie, and we watch moana every weekend with you sims" i explain and she crosses her arms and frowns like a child. "both of y'all are whipped for each other, just get back together already!" skate exclaimed, using his phone app to make the whip sound. jack laughed beside me still trailing circles on my bare thighs, "i can say the same bout you and simmo, the whole night you two touching and hugging like old times" jack teases nate and simone, both cheeks flushing red. nate and simone used to date back in the day too, senior year till the day we left for los angeles. they were good together, but simone was interested in another guy and didn't want to lead nate on so she ended it. but i could still tell that she had feelings for nate. but without another argument sammy put superbad on. i snuggled into jack's body, he wraps his arms around my waist and places a soft kiss on my forehead as we relax and watch the film.

i was falling in and out of the film, as usual but jack's constant motions on my arms and thighs kept me awake. it felt good, like his touch, i missed his touch, i missed his smell, i missed everything about him. i heard what happened with his last girlfriend, and my heart hurts for him. even if we hadn't seen or spoken to each other in so long, i still kept up with news about him. i hadn't brought his last girl up because frankly i didn't know how to but also i didn't know if he wanted too. he looks down at me for a second like he had been doing for most of the movie, and he smiles and me and i smile back. he stares at me for a little longer this time, soon enough he leans in closer and my heart was beating extremely fast. at this point the others had fallen asleep and it was just him and i awake, and this was our favourite film and the others really don't find this film entertaining hence they fell asleep. his lips immediatly land on mine, and we kiss in sync with one another. his lips soft, he kisses me gently, slow but full of passion.

we break apart from one another, staring at one another intensely without saying a word for a second, gaining our breaths back. he breaks the silence first, "i've been wanting to do that since cam's party" he pants, and my lips smirk, "well why didn't you!" i flirt. he smirked, "fuck you are so hot, i missed you so much mi, you don't even want to know how much you were on my mind" he blabs. omg my heart was going to explode from a cardiac arrest considering jacks words would make any girl melt. "i missed you too jack, so much" i reply pulling him closer to me, pulling him in for another kiss in which he happily reciprocates.
