[SECOND PERSON] (rewritten as of 7/13/22)
"Ahh fuck. . . " You groaned, pushing the last box out the door. You just got off of the plane a few days ago and decided to do something you'd never thought you'd do.
After the murder of your parents, you decided to move out of your tiny apartment. It was one of those shady, rundown, and cheap apartments. Not that you didn't have any money, it's just that the landlords didn't care what you did.
They would even keep their eyes closed, and mouths zipped if you gave them extra cash.
"Hey, you better be outta here in ten minutes." One of them barked.
Reaching into your pocket, you handed them a stack of cash, "Gimme 30, my car is still getting repaired." They took the money without hesitation and left you alone.
For the first time in 2 years since you moved to London, you now felt free. You didn't feel held down any more, you were finally gonna appreciate the beauty of London.
While walking back home after getting off the plane, you saw a flyer for a vacant room, what caught your attention was that it was drawn with crayons and glitter glue.
Looked like a kid drew it, but when you called the number they were grown men seriously looking for a new roomie. Plus points, they had a cat.
------------
You pulled up to the address you took out and unfolded a piece of paper, it was the flyer that advertised the said house.
"Shame, I was expecting the house to be bedazzled and yassified in some way." Getting out of the car you approached the front door, shoving the flyer down in one of your pockets.
Just before you could knock on the door--- "Hi!! (Y/n), right?" A cheery man busted through.
"Yeah, that's me. And you're the one who drew the flyer?"
"Mmhmm, what do you think?"
"10/10 but I expected the house to have more glitter." He moved aside as you took that as a sign to come in.
"The glitter just had to be on the drawing, who doesn't like glitter?"
"True, true" You agree, looking and observing the surroundings.
Everything looked pretty normal, but there was this unspoken wackiness the house emitted, but judging from one of the owners he already gave off that vibe.
You felt out of place not gonna lie. Wacky people versus a literal murderer, the contrast is kinda funny at this point.
"So uhh, there are more people here right?"
"Oh yeah! 3 others, but only 2 are here for now."
"What're they like?"
"You can judge them for yourself."
Then all of a sudden you heard yelling and a thud, just as you turned around, you saw a blur of blue and purple with a twinge of green rolling down the stairs.
. . . .
"I'm for real going to enjoy my stay here."
------------
By now you were familiar with the roommates you had right now, and quite frankly you legitimately liked their company.
The wacky energy they had felt refreshing from the depressive emo aesthetic you had, hopefully, their personalities will rub off on you.
Let's hope no one finds you suspicious, or another 'accident' might happen.
"Have any of you noticed how quiet it's been since (Y/n) moved in?" Tom commented as he sipped on his flask, he watched you from inside the house through the window.
You were peacefully gardening with the radio on, there was some sort of obvious lump on the ground though, but Tom just assumed it was just uneven soil distribution.
"I mean, (Y/n) HAS been preoccupying Matt and I haven't seen Eduardo since yesterday, so that's weird."
"She's a saint, I hope she never leaves if the house can be this peaceful."
"By the way, do you know where Tord is?"
"Wrong person to ask, Edd."
"Hey, guys!" You entered the room and took off the sunhat you wore.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" Edd replied, "How's your gardening?"
"Great! Me and Matt went shopping earlier this morning because I found the perfect fertilizer, it would be a waste not to put it to good use!" Taking off the gloves from your hands and sat down at the dining table.
"Ouhh, what kind of fertilizer?"
"The unfortunate man named, Eduardo." You smiled in the warmest way possible but with malice laced in every word.
------------
"BACK, BACK I SAY" You waved them off using a comically large spoon, for some reason.
"(Y/n), you need to dig him out!! He's gonna die!!" Edd stayed on his toes as he dodged your advances.
"A little help please??"
"These flowers make me look so pretty! Eduardo makes good fertilizer, I say we keep him buried." Matt says as he took a picture of himself.
While Tom was on the ground rolling in laughter.
"I. CAN'T. BREATHE!!" He says in between laughs.
The backyard is in utter chaos, you with your comically large spoon, Tom rolling on the grass, Matt taking pictures, and Eduardo still buried.
"Hello? Anyone home?" Tom stopped laughing as soon as he heard a familiar accented voice.
"TORD, OVER HERE, PLEASE HELP!!"
The backdoor slammed open as everyone stopped what they were doing, Tom already being a head, and scowled at him.
He stared at the surroundings, confusion evident on his face.
His gaze eventually landed on you and you couldn't help but feel chills run down your spine.
You hope he won't be the reason an accident might happen.
