After Elvis was done with his shift, he was dieing to get the taste of the Turnip salad Annie especially made for him. he scrambles to look for silverware and a napkin that was hidden in his cubby hole in his car. before he was about to eat, he hesitated. He thought of what his two friends warned him about yesterday. What it truly what they say it was? Or was it just a silly prank?
Elvis blinks two times and shakes his head in disbelief. He grabs a large proportion of turnips and salad, opens his mouth up as wide as he could, then, stock the fork as far as he could go, he then bites down, then pulls the salad and turnips clean off the fork crunching it every bite he took. The meal was scrumptious. He urged for more, so he did. He grabs a larger portion of turnips and salad and eats it almost instantly. He continues on until everything was licked cleaned. gone.
In satisfaction, Elvis lays one of his hands on his stomach, the other bent behind his head. He slouches a little feeling bloated, but in a superb way. he bends his head perfectly to the lasting heat of the hot, Tupelo sun. He closes his eyes, and grins lightly.
Suddenly, a great cramp hit him located on his side as if a baseball bat has beaten on him. He growled in pain as he clutches his side eagerly. It lasts for about 2 minutes, then it gradually disappears. Elvis straitens himself up and lifts his shirt were the pain was. It looked as if there was a miniature heart perfectly drawn on the exact place he had been hit. He rubs it in disbelieve. He glaces back at it squinting his pail blue eyes strait at the heart. He pushes down his shirt, angrily then rushes his fingers threw his hair, confused. He swears under his breath, "This can't be happening!" He almost says yelling.
Tod rushes over. "What the problem, E?" Asked Tod"N-Nothin'" Said Elvis scrambling to sit up. "Just talkin' to myself." "Alrighhht..." Squinted Tod. "Well it's about time to head home. I just came here to say goodbye." Shurgged Tom "Alright, pal" Elvis says patting Tom's shoulder lightly. "I'll see ya later." Tom shook his head and started to walk off to his car. Elvis grinned, turned on the engine, and speeds off to the quiet Tupelo road.
