They arrived in the arctic in time to see Sportsmaster fly away from leaving the final Reach drone. Artemis muttered a few choice words under her breath before they all hid behind a bank of snow.
Nightwing explained his plan to the other three, "I've made a smaller version of our Zeta tubes that can transport a person a few feet. But a few feet should be all we need for Wally. We attach the device to Blue's suit, so it will be powered by him. And Bart, you run as fast as you can around the chrysalis to make up for losing Wally. Artemis and I will be here to figure out where Wally appears."
"Got it," Bart grinned confidently.
"Guys, down!" Blue warned.
They did so. And heard an explosion moments after.
"Flash and Impulse are here, it's gone crysalis," Nightwing grunted, "Wally will be here any minute,"
"It's slowing, but I don't think the two of us can generate enough kinetic energy to stop it," They heard Flash say.
"Then how about the three of us?" Wally asked.
"Guys, now!" Nightwing shouted. Impulse disappeared and Blue Beetle aimed the mini-zeta at Wally.
"Why isn't it working?" He asked after a while.
"It's just a prototype, it's going to take a while," Nightwing explained as B'arzz O'oom's bioship landed
"Nightwing, we gotta hurry! We might get seen!" Artemis said.
"It's no good Barry!" She heard Wally say. She stopped to listen.
"Man, Artemis is so gonna kill me for this!" She almost smiled, "And don't even get me started on mom and dad-"
"Kid?"
"Just tell them, okay?"
"Got it!" Blue told Nightwing and Artemis in triumph.
"KID!"
Wally disappeared from sight.
"Where is he?" Artemis asked, looking around frantically as Impulse appeared next to them. The crysalis disappeared and The rest of the team went to congratulate the Flashes.
"They did it!" M'gann cried.
Tigress finally found him, lying on the ground and out like a log and she ran over to him.
"Wally," she whispered as she bent over him.
"A-artemis?" He asked deliriously
"Baywatch, I love you," she managed to say before another blinding light consumed her vision.
