I got to the orphanage and went inside. I checked the time on my phone. I only had 5 minutes to get ready.
I decided not to change clothes or hairstyles because it resembles who I am. I added some more make up on where it needed and took the Starbucks drinks with me.
Everybody was wearing dresses and fancy shmancy stuff except for Tanya and I. We hate doing that. Tanya and I have nothing fancy in our wardrobe. Its basically shorts, shirts, and skater skirts.
All of us get up on the stage in a line Tanya was next to me.
"I bought you a cotton candy frappe." I handed the drink to her.
"Thanks. Hey, since we won't get adopted do you wanna ignore Mrs. Tushay and go on our phones and stalk o2l on social media?"
"Don't mind if I do"
We got our phones and started checking our Instagrams. I looked at Ricky's account and his most recent picture was a car selfie.
'Ready to adopt!' Was the caption.
I checked the time and day. It was 10 minutes ago and today.
What.
Is.
Happening.
I showed Tanya the picture. Her eyes popped out of her head.
"It looks like this orphanage too!"
"What is happening!?"
"And this is Tanya and Jordan." I looked to see Mrs. Tushay.
I look behind her to see who the adopters were.
Oh my nutella.
It was them.
Them!
As in o2l!!!
Ricky waved to me. I waved back. Like what!?
All of the o2l guys, including Connor, huddled up.
Then they stopped.
"We want Jordan." Ricky told Mrs. Tushay.
"Yeah, right. Nobody ever wants me."
"We do." Jc told me.
"Okay then. Let me go pack."
I went inside my room and started packing. I was almost done packing when Tanya came in.
"Hey." She looked sad. I guess I would be to if my best friend was leaving without me.
"Hey."
"I guess your leaving now."
"Yeah."
There was an awkward silence until I went to the piano and started playing and singing "Don't worry now" by Britt Nicole.
I changed some of the lyrics if you dont mind.
" Yeah
Twelve years old,
You heard me cry
I don't wanna say goodbye
To the sister that I love
My daddy and everything he was
Sis,
I know your breaking in two
With tears running down your face
You said we're gonna make it
We're gonna make it.
[Chorus]
When you feel like you're all alone
Just like your best friend
Up and gone
Don't worry now
Don't worry now
I've been there yeah,
I know how it feels
Don't worry now
Don't worry now.
Its gonna be okay."
I stopped there. I looked over to Tanya. There were tears running down her face. I ran up and hugged her. She hugged back.
"Thank you for being my best friend and sister." I thanked with tears in my eyes.
"Thank you too." She said.
We hugged for another minute. Then we fixed our make up and I finished packing.
I opened the door to head outside. But instead of an empty hallway, I got six crying guys with tissue boxes in each hand.
"That was beautiful!" Sam cried.
"The booshkaness is just so-" Kian blew his nose after saying 'so'.
"Your voice is so BEAUTIFUL!" Trevor cried out loud.
"Can we please get going now?" I asked nicely.
They all nodded and Connor and Jc grabbed my bags. I turned around to Tanya.
"I'm gonna miss you so much!" I told her.
"I'm gonna miss you too!"
We hugged for a little bit again.
"Will you come visit?" She asked.
"Of course I will. Your my sister. Sisters are always there for each other."
"Your my sister too. I love you."
"I love you too."
We let go. I walked to Kian's car and saw the boys putting my bags in the trunk.
"So which one of you is my new dad?" That reminded me of dad, but I know they wont abuse me like he did.
"I am." Said Ricky.
"Jordan Dillon. I like the sound of that." I smiled.
I heard Connor close the trunk.
"Alright. You ready to go Jordan?" Connor asked me.
I look back at Tanya, then back at Connor. I nod.
I wave to Tanya and she waves back.
I get in to Kians car, and we head over to the o2l house.
