Hi guys this is my second story on Wattpad, Im still quite new so if you could give me any tips for improving my stories that would be great!!! Hope you enjoy!!

**************Zandile's P.O.V*******************

I woke up to the chirping of bul-buls outside. That was my first sign to wake up. They were the first birds to be heard outside in the morning. I could get up or wait for the roosters to start, that would be my last warning. I got up off my bed (well it was a grass reed mat of a bed, but who was I to complain?) , rolled it up neatly and placed it in the corner of the room. I tiptoed quietly around all the sleeping bodies around me, before heading to the river to bath.

*************Thabile's P.O.V******************

I heard the robins outside singing. I turned over in my feather-downy bed not wanting to hear them. Why should they be happy when I can't be. Life is so unfair. I looked at my alarm clock 06:42. Stupid birds, they're little conniving thieves. They robbed me of my 3 minutes of sleep. 3 whole minutes. A lot can happen in that time. A child has just died of malaria, 50 women all over the world could have given birth and an old grandfather could have died. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. I swear what was the point of an alarm clock if I was just going to wake up before it? Now if I don't switch it off it'll just keep ringing. But I don't feel like moving. Whose idea was it to put it halfway across the room? It was staring at me. Mocking me. Just daring me to get out of bed. Well guess what clock. You lose.

'Molly! Molly!!' She burst through the door panting like she had just finished a marathon.

'Yes madam,' She said between breaths.

'Switch that off for me will you?' I ordered, picking away at my nails instead of looking her in the eye. I looked up to see her roll her eyes before hitting the button a little too hard.

'Anything else, madam?' she asked. It annoyed me how she pronounced it med-hem. Oh well, ghetto habits die hard.

'French toast for breakfast, 2 slices, and make sure you cut the crusts off the bread first,' I said.

'Yes madam,' she said before scurrying away through my door to the kitchen. Sigh, if this kept up she would be done by the end of the week and looking for a new job. And I would make sure of it.

***********************************************Thoughts on the first chapter??? Sorry I wouldve made it longer but this was an experimental book. Comment!!!!!!

Btw Thabile is pronounced Ta-bee-leh and Zandile is Zan-dee-leh
